Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - Behind the Magic airs this Saturday at 7.15pm. Looking forward to it!

Not much news to report on now with there only being 2 days until the last ever film

But the soundtrack and video game for Part 2 are both now available to buy. Will be getting both soon, I really hope Alexandre Desplat has done the final film justice.

Midnight screening tonight :amazed: words can't describe how excited I am but also sad that there will never be another film to look forward to! Going to watch Part 1 at 9pm and then by the time it finishes, it will be nearly time for Part 2 to be shown. :D

Oh and ITV1 are showing the first five films starting this Saturday, they should have done it before the release imo.

Callum 14-07-2011 05:42 PM

Deathly Hallows Part 2 has taken the record for the highest advanced ticket sales with $32 million, breaking the record set by Eclipse last year. Good to hear :D

Why was it out in other countries before the uk. It was out today in Singapore.

Seeing it tomorrow though.

Callum 14-07-2011 06:49 PM

Out in Australia the other day too, not too sure why, I think it's because some countries have films released on a day other than Friday unlike USA and UK.

InOne 14-07-2011 07:39 PM

Will all the first showings be in 3D? like the first days kinda thing? -doesn't want 3D-

Callum 14-07-2011 07:40 PM

No, there are loads of 2D showings as well. :D

Callum 14-07-2011 07:41 PM

off watch Part 1 now then the last film ever at 12.00am :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

InOne 14-07-2011 07:44 PM

Hmmm, can't see any at my cineworld :suspect: will look again

Callum 15-07-2011 02:01 AM

Wow... just back from seeing it, made me cry. Rare for a film to do that but it was just so good. I really don't think anyone is going to hate it, I loved every single minute of it and didn't want it to end. Got goosebumps loads of times due to the accuracy between my imagination's vision and the finished film. I haven't got a single negative thing to say about it. Hedwig's Theme was used :D and it sounded great, was so nice to hear it again. McGonagall was just amazing and I was so happy with her screentime, when she says "boom" is hilarious. Neville was another one who stood out, he gets lot of screentime and there's a amazing sequence where he's on the covered bridge speaking to the Snatchers, very amusing. Snape, brilliantly acted by Alan Rickman. The Prince's Tales scenes are done very well, I just wish it could have been a bit longer but they were still brilliant. I could go on and on but I'd be here all night if I was to praise every little detail of the film, it was just fantastic. The 19 years later scene was done well, but I think that Hermione should have looked a bit older personally. All in all brilliant film and I think it's probably my favorite film of the lot, largely because it's so accurate to the book. Oh and one last thing, the music used is stunning, I mentioned Hedwig's Theme but the music in general is fantastic.

Oh and how could I forget King's Cross! Was amazing, very similar to how I imagined but be warned the image of Voldemort under the bench is horriffic.

King Gizzard 15-07-2011 02:04 AM

Did they look odd all grown up?

You could still regonise them clearly. Harry, Ginny, Ron all aged pretty well. As did Malfoy, who looked rather funny but one thing I disliked was how Hermione looked exactly the same as she did as a 17 year old. They used "Harry's Wondrous World" from Movie 1 in that bit too, was sad.

Slight spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet
Spoiler:

all the dialogue from the children has been cut apart from the one line from Albus "what happens if I'm in Slytherin?"

King Gizzard 15-07-2011 02:20 AM

Trying to look on twitter if anyone has posted a picture of voldemort under the bench lol :joker:

It's so horrid, he looks like meat. :yuk:

Reading a lot of comments that people were laughing at the epilogue, I heard a couple at my cinema too. I think the lack of dialogue was a mistake and like I mentioned previously, Hermione looked too young. Oh and another thing I didn't like was the lack of Hagrid. We first see him right near the end of the film, he only has about 3 lines in the whole film and you don't see him crying over Harry. Neville killing Nagini in front of the school has been changed a bit too but it worked, I liked it, it gave a stronger impact I thought.

King Gizzard 15-07-2011 03:05 AM

My friend has said to me something about Harry not killing Voldy in front of everyone and that Neville didn't kill Nagini or something like that

Can't remember the books so wouldn't know

Vicky. 15-07-2011 10:08 AM

This film has me up before midday(when I dont have work) for the first time in weeks

I bet my lift doesnt come til 5pm or something :bored:

Glenn. 15-07-2011 10:35 AM

Really can't wait for this. Going tonight!!

Barbie 15-07-2011 11:38 AM

3D or not? I think i'd rather go and see it in 2D i've heard the 3D isn't that great, what do you guys think?

Stu 15-07-2011 11:43 AM

3D cinema is the devil and a trend that will soon die on it's arse [again]. It adds absoloutely nothing and makes me feel like a bit of a **** sitting there with wanky glasses to see a few sparks fly off the screen. I'd rather watch it as normal.

GypsyGoth 15-07-2011 01:02 PM

It was spellbinding

It was a fitting end to an amazing story. Not sure if the 19 years later part was needed. I would have liked it to end when it faded to black just before.

Anyway there are a couple of parts I cried at, and the action was very gripping. It's strange not having another HP to look forward to.

I seen it 2D, hopefully I'll see it next week in 3D. And then maybe again in 2D :amazed:
