Brilliant actor, I'm really excited to see what his role entails :clap1:

Marsh. 17-08-2016 10:16 PM

Saw this on DS the other day. :clap1: Excellent casting.

Just hope they're wrong about it being connected to "The Lodger" and James Corden is not returning. :worry:

Rob! 17-08-2016 10:36 PM

Here for Poirot in the Tardis :clap1:

Scarlett. 18-08-2016 12:14 AM

David Suchet is great, looking forward to him in Doctor Who.

Capaldi was in an episode of Poirot so it'll be cool seeing them onscreen together again so many years later

It's heavily rumoured & basically confirmed due to set pictures of the scripts that the title of Series 10 Episode 1 is

Spoiler:

A Star in her Eyes

Apparently the Christmas Special is some of Moffat's best work on Doctor Who...

I'll wait and see before getting too excited.

Jarrod 07-10-2016 04:41 PM

BREAKING: Doctor Who will return on Christmas Day with The Return of Doctor Mysterio

Marsh. 07-10-2016 07:14 PM

Not Doctor Who trying to go all Marvel on us. :umm2:

Firewire 07-10-2016 07:19 PM

Ooh Justin Chatwin :amazed:

Scarlett. 07-10-2016 07:35 PM

This looks good :D

Pete. 18-12-2016 07:41 PM

The only thing I want this Christmas is a new opening sequence/theme with an inspired storyline but I doubt I'm getting either

I'd love a new title sequence but if they're going to do that, they probably won't introduce it until the full series with Bills, and even then it'll only be in use for a year because I suspect Chibnall will want to introduce his own.

Marsh. 18-12-2016 09:06 PM

Yeah, I'd rather Moffat not introduce a new theme/titles, Tardis and stuff like that so Chibnall can fully create his own direction in 2018.

I'm expecting something similar to the 2010 takeover - the logo needs a bit of a refresh. It's been the same font etc since Series 5 now.

Rob! 25-12-2016 09:08 PM

Well I enjoyed that

Scarlett. 26-12-2016 03:27 AM

I didnt expect to like Nardole as much as I do now, lol. Kinda want hint to be a full time companion.

Firewire 26-12-2016 08:52 AM

The episode was a bit of a mess because there wasn't really any need for the doctor

I love Justin Chatwin though

Oaker 26-12-2016 09:10 AM

The episode was alright tbh. It got dull in the middle but I enjoyed it.

Series 10 looks like a mess though - those robots looked awful :omgno:

Ashley. 26-12-2016 10:14 AM

I just caught the trailer for the next series. Blimey, what's happened to this show? :worry:

Firewire 26-12-2016 12:18 PM

Yeah series 10 looks poor

I think Steven is just going all out for his final series which is a shame as series 9 was solid

MB. 26-12-2016 12:22 PM

I didn't care for series 9 so I'll welcome anything slightly different tbh

Pete. 26-12-2016 04:21 PM

I thought the episode was fine, but the 15 minute extension from a normal one was really felt. The River bit was lovely and got my thinking
Spoiler:

Maybe parts of Moffat's finale will see River escape from the library (somehow) and then that will leading into the return of Torchwood & River teaming up with Jack?

As the for the Series 10 trailer I thought it was... fine.

Spoiler:

Torchwood was a RTD creation and as far as the BBC are concerned the series ended on television and it's future lies with the Big Finish Audio stories. I don't think it'll ever happen that way unfortunately.
