No idea what you're all on about, this series has been the perfect length. Three weeks never matched up to the latter C4 series lengths and I'd wanted them to beat the previous 27 day records for ages so I'm glad they finally did

All that needs to happen is summer CBB is axed. Four or five weeks of CBB in the winter is perfect, and then let's get our 13 week civilians back plz

That is however a disappointing rating :(

Maybe it is time that they give BB a rest. It's obviously been milked to death since it's move to Channel 5. I always thought that they should have bought it and given it a couple of years to make people thirst for it. I certainly didn't realise BB would be on pretty much all year when it moved to Channel 5.

Doesn't need a rest, this series has beating CBB13 in the ratings, most watched since 2011. If it was a low series overall then yes I would agree.

Exactly this series has done fantastic for c5

I can see the show staying till 2020

As long as CBB gets highs 2m and low 3m for official ratings it won't be going anywhere

Defientley, although I'm A Celeb needs a new look, but still does great with the ratings.

Ant and dec is the main reason

Finally someone agrees with me! Emma Willis would slay I'm A Celeb

I think we need to get some perspective in here. It was only low because it was up against the Rugby which rated 7.31m (massive peak of 8.8m) and Benidorm took a big dent as well with only 3.53m.

Otherwise people start to tail off and get bored, I sure know I did anyway.

I think you are right. The producers made the mistake of focusing on purely one storyline, Hopkins V Perez. After a while that story just became repetitive and tiresome.

But at the same time i guess it was difficult for the producers to focus on any other stories as that storyline was the reason why most new viewers tuned in for in the first place.

Yeah, the rating isn't great but I'm not letting it get in the way of the fact that this has been such a brilliant series, with some of the best ratings in a good 5 years. Channel 5 will still be over the moon.

Will. 07-02-2015 10:53 AM

2.7 is amazing for channel though, they rarely see a show got over 1 million.

I'm hoping for a huge timeshift! I understand what you mean, it was up against the Six Nations which peaked at 8.8m and was massive but I just am hoping for a big timeshift because surely no less than 3.3m would have watched the final!

When you have things in prospective of Alexander's walking out got 3.71m officially, it's certainly going to be a few hundred thousand lower than that. I was hoping for a 3.1m and around a 3.6-3.7m official.

Officially, I'm guessing around 3.1m which would be in line with the average of the series.

Yeah, the timeshift will be quite big I think.

Digitial spy are actually reporting 2.95 as the peak so that's lower.

It got 2.5 million live and added 200k on +1.

I really cant believe it rated so low, literally lower than most of the highlight shows.

Maybe people couldn't be bothered to retune back in

It lost steam. I have to disagree with most of the people in here. Big Brother should have been well-rested during it's Channel-hop. A few years away and the ratings would have been even higher than they are now.

The production is all tacky these days, too. I've been watching series 7 on YouTube. Those were the days!

C5 won't drop its most successful show wish civilian bb would take a break through

No, they won't. They don't need to drop it! They just need to give it a rest for a while. They also need to stop using it to try and promote other shows to no avail. It cheapens it.

mrmattybeck1 07-02-2015 04:05 PM

On a series that was the most watched cbb series on c5 some saying bb should be rested I'm speechless
