oh, i thought you were being sarcastic with the question

You have to declare all your earning/deductions etc for them to issue you with a tax return, when you earn over a certain amount

Yeah the tax comes off automatically when they pay you, but to get it back when they take to much you have to fill in a form, it's done now anyway :hehe:

Ohhh I don't get taxed much because I only work a small numbers per week I thought I was committing fraud when you said you were doing it and I had no idea what it was

Are you self employed and responsible for your own tax?

If not then you shouldn't be filing a tax return.

If you are paye and have paid too much tax then you just contact centre one for a rebate

I was at first (well, i didn't even have a tax code for 3 months :umm2:) i think i'm owed about £450 so that'll be nice when it comes in :flutter:

Oh I remember when I left my last job and they sent me my rebate in one lump sum. Like £350 or something stupid. It felt like I'd won the lottery. :flutter:
