Who have you guys got next?

West Ham has Burnley, Norwich and Watford next, so they should be alright.

Calderyon 08-07-2020 05:42 PM

West Ham vs Burnley 0-1 at 41st

MTVN 08-07-2020 05:47 PM

We've bloody battered them as well

Calderyon 08-07-2020 06:26 PM

So regarding relegation:

Norwich is pretty much done, they would need a miracle to avoid relegation. They would need to win every remaining game and West Ham, Watford and Aston Villa would need to basically lose all their remaining ones for them to survive relegation.

Brighton has a 9 points ahead of the relegation line. Their remaining matches are Liverpool (h), Man City (h), Southampton (a), Newcastle (h) and Burnley (a). They need 6 points at most to be completely safe.

West Ham, Watford, Aston Villa and Bournemouth are most at risk of relegation after Norwich. Aston Villa and Bournemouth more as they are both 4 points behind of Westham and Watford.

Westham's remaining matches after Burnley (h) tonight are Norwich (a), Watford (h), Man Utd. (a) and Aston Villa (h)

Watford's remaining matches are Newcastle (h), Westham (a), Man City (h) and Arsenal (a)

Aston Villa's remaining matches are Man Utd. (h), Crystal Palace (h), Everton (a), Arsenal (h) and Westham (a).

Bournemouth's remaining matches are Tottenham (h), Leicester City (h), Manchester City (a), Southampton (h) and Everton (a).

I'd say as Bournemouth has a horrible end schedule, so I predict they are going to be relegated 2nd. Aston Villa has the 2nd most horrible end schedule + they have quite a bit of injuries, so I'd say they are the 3rd team to be relegated. Plus both of their 4 point disadvantages are huge.

Westham vs Burnley ends at 0-1.

Norwich is where they should definitely save themselves I reckon.

I'm actually glad I can't watch our game today, already feel a bit sick thinking about it :worry:

I think you are good tbh.

Calderyon 11-07-2020 12:44 PM

0-3 now.

Michael Antonio, a hatrick.

MTVN 11-07-2020 12:44 PM

Antoniooooooo

Calderyon 11-07-2020 12:47 PM

Norwich is playing badly.

Calderyon 11-07-2020 12:49 PM

Btw, I'm curious, what has happened to West Ham?

Weren't they quite good a few years ago? A middle tier team at least.

Denver 11-07-2020 12:49 PM

West Ham have never been a good team nor will they ever be

We had a few years of comfortable mid table and a decent 7th place a while ago but we've always the potential to slip up and get caught in relegation battles. Probs a combination of too many manager changes, failed signings and not enough investment really

What about when we won the World Cup in 1966

Calderyon 11-07-2020 01:03 PM

They're 3 time FA cup winners though. And they were in 3rd place in the First Division/Premier League on season 1985-1986.

Pretty ridiculous thing to say. West Ham are a proper club with history, not a bunch of lottery winners like city and chelsea.

Chelsea won a league title before they were rich when will West Ham? All London teams should be destroyed (apart from Brentford)

Winning a league title is the decider of a big/proper club? Mighty Preston, Blackpool, and Notts forest suggest that may not be the case. West ham have been crucified by their current ownership, and that stadium move in particular. On the day Klopp was appointed, Thierry Henry said Liverpool wasn't a big club anymore, so things can change round pretty quickly.

West ham produced a great generation of players recently with Ferdinand, Cole, Lampard etc. If football hadn't changed so much, there's a good chance they would have kept those players and won a title or 2.

Nicky91 11-07-2020 03:23 PM

West Ham also had legend Paolo Di Canio as i remember correctly :clap2:

Suddenly Brighton is not looking so good regarding relegation.

A 5-0 loss at home is not a good look, even if it is Man City they were playing against.

everyone loses against Man City with their billions of budget

5-0 is still not bad, as it could also be 8-0 9-0
