Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes has gone on strike to try and force through a move to Manchester City.

Today is the second day of his strike after the 25-year-old did not report for duty yesterday or today. The player will be disciplined by Wolves for refusing to train.

City are expected to return with an improved bid for the Portugal international after Wolves turned down a £47m offer from the Treble winners on Thursday.

I'm not sure i would want to buy a player that downs tools so easily

Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement with Wolves over a £47.3m deal to sign midfielder Matheus Nunes.

The deal for the 25-year-old has not been formally agreed yet but if completed, there will be no add-ons.

Intriguing

there must be something about palmer that pepe doesn't like. He has always been subdued when referring to him

Swan 30-08-2023 07:16 PM

It's a deal for Palmer that could reach £45m. He's set for a medical in the coming days.

Manchester City have agreed a £53m deal to sign Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes.

The deal - which is a club-record sale for Wolves - is higher than the £47m verbal agreement that was originally reached.

City will now pay more but with a different payment structure.

There are no add-ons, apart from a 10 per cent sell-on fee on any profit City make on Nunes.

With the paperwork now agreed and in the final stages, Nunes has been given permission to travel to Manchester to have a medical.

Nicky91 31-08-2023 01:23 PM

last days of the market are always the most exciting tbh

i can remember PSV signed Mario Gotze also on the last day of the transfer window that year to everyone's surprise (Gotze is currently still at Frankfurt btw, regular starting 11 player too)
