Celtic are always playing with 12 men.

It's also similar when Villa play us over the years, they always get their hand held by the Ref.

Rice was outstanding again. People are gonna be calling him a bargain soon. The geezer never gets caught out and his passing range is getting better

Crazy game. Arsenal looked out of sorts. Has anyone commented on the Havertz miss? How did a professional footballer completely miskick in that position? it's worrying.

Man Utd didn't deserve to lose 3-1 but they didn't deserve to win 3-1 at Old Trafford this time last year.

The Havertz experiment is worrying. Mikel needs to reassess. He's hooked Havertz in the last two games and Arsenal have gone on to score two goals after he's come off. It's not a coincident,

I hope Havertz doesnt get Mikel the sack but its got to work. I beleive Havertz is now Arsenals highest paid player. Mikel wanted him to the point where other options were avaialabe - Maddison, Ward-Prowse,Tieleman but MIkel didnt want any of them, he wanted Havertz and the Havertz deal was done before the Rice deal. ITs got to work but the player looks bereft of confidence. Arsenal have to ease him in to the first team. The shoe horning him into the line up isnt working

maybe havertz has match day nerves or something, because he missed a sitter

I dont know whats up with him but he cannot stay in the starting line up for much longer. It will cont Arsenal points.

If you watch him when he was in Germany, clearly the lad is talented but he plays the game at his own pace and in this instance this is very much a weakness. He slows the game down too much and allows opposition defenders to set up properly. He needs to do everything a fraction quicker.

Maybe he will take him out after the international break ( unless he scores a few goals for Germany and gets a boost to his confidence..

Smith -Rowe and Vierra could take his place

Maybe it’s best to trust Arteta’s judgement ..

Edit

Saka’s miss was nearly as bad as Havertz and Saka had more time ..

Saka was terrible today which is a worry

it's early days yet, but i don't think arsenal are anything close to being as fluid as they were first half of last season

:clap1:

Agree. When the champons league starts, we'll see if arsenal are anywhere near. I think they arent. Getting rid of Tierney etc may hurt us

If we have a typical Wenger season. Staying in every competiotion till February 2024 but going out of them all in March 2024  then I will give Arteta a thumbs up. That will be progress. I still think Arteta has to prove that he can put out two teams a week. He's proved hes a great coach with ideas that work but is he a great manager who can get to the latter stages of all competitions? We'll see.

True, but to miskick? When he was at Leverkusen he was chipping keepers from a similar postion. He's short of confidence but he's talented.

GiRTh 03-09-2023 08:02 PM

He's talented for sure

Crimson Dynamo 03-09-2023 08:30 PM

Hvertz is a bombscare but Rice and Jesus are not

for me that is a big win for Arsenal

Jadon Sancho says he has been "a scapegoat for a long time" after Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag said he was dropped for Sunday's game at Arsenal because of poor training performance.

The England forward did not travel to Emirates Stadium for the game, which United lost 3-1.

Ten Hag said Sancho had not reached the "level" required to be included.

"Please don't believe everything you read," Sancho wrote on social media.

"I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself very well in training this week.

"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"

-------------------------------------------

You have to ask why they didn't get rid of him in the transfer window

Erik Ten excuses.

Does anyone think this Man Utd side is better that the one Ronaldo was kicked out of. Seems like a life time ago but United had Ronaldo this time last year. Apparently he didn't fit in to the system and had to go. One year later, is the system working? Does this team look better? They went from Ronaldo to Weghorst.

I think Ten Haag is under more pressure than people are saying. His dumping on Sancho today is awful management IMO. I dont see them doing much this year.

bots 04-09-2023 10:12 AM

i don't see united doing much either and the whole greenwood affair has been so poorly handled. I also read that a club had agreed to take Donny van de Beek on loan and then backed out because they didn't like his attitude. I think the club is completely dysfunctional

On one hand we have Jadon vs ETH
On the other we have Ryan...

A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an alleged incident during Arsenal's 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday.

It follows the circulation of footage on social media showing Sky Sports pundits Micah Richards and Roy Keane involved in an altercation with an individual.

Ex-United captain Keane was reportedly the alleged victim of the assault.

Sky Sports say Richards was "acting to defuse a situation".

"Police are investigating an incident at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, 3 September, during which a man was assaulted," The Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

"On Monday, 4 September, a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH). The man has been taken into police custody. Enquiries are ongoing."

united are paying something like 95% of his salary while he is loaned out too.The whole thing has really annoyed me

The Slim Reaper 04-09-2023 08:25 PM

Dayum, looks like Sancho is going to be the only forward left there if this carries on...

One of the videos of the investigation shows an injury that exposed the bones of Gabriela's fingers.

Brazil have dropped Manchester United winger Antony following allegations of abuse by his former girlfriend.

The Brazilian football federation said the 23-year-old had been withdrawn from the squad after "facts became public" that "need to be investigated".

Brazilian news outlet UOL published allegations made by Antony's ex-partner on Monday.

Police in Sao Paulo and Greater Manchester are investigating the claims, which the player has denied.
