Haha, I played 06 right up until this year. Means I could buy Stephen Ireland and Ryan Shawcross for cheap cos they were unknown then  I played as Partick on the 06 game too, no idea why I seem to love them.

Blyth Spartans  Hahah.

HAs fifa got rankings for each club?
or just national teams?

andyman 07-05-2009 01:55 AM

Dunno.. I think it's UEFA that does it for European clubs.

UEFA got the final they wanted, vile cheating scum..

30stone 07-05-2009 01:57 AM

MM id like to see where everyone is ranked in that.

Fifa needs to watch the rugby, and have the time stopped so people can watch and incident and decide weather its a foul, penalty, card etc or not and just tell the ref.

Because for 1 tonights ref was ****.
and secondly i bet they get abuse sometimes from some desicions they make.

andyman 07-05-2009 01:58 AM

I think the seed clubs for the Champions League early stage draws so no big teams meet each other..

Not this year apparently next season they are stopping that apparently.

As well as the first 3 teams goign straight into the champions league and the 4th place going into knock out.

Last year only the first 2 got through straight away.

In an absolutely moronic move, supposedly UEFA are attempting to ban Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal from Champions League play next season. UEFA president Michel Platini is reported in the Daily Star as wanting to stop clubs with large debts from playing in European competitions. I guess in an attempt to stop big club’s who are already in debt, from spending even more money that they don’t have.

But, I believe the problem with that philosophy to be, UEFA has no right to say how money at a club is spent or how far into debt a club goes. Football has no salary restrictions, so a club should be, and is, free to spend as much as they want on their squad. Although with debts at Chelsea and Manchester United supposedly being as high as £600million, perhaps a little caution wouldn’t be a bad idea to avoid the same situation as Leeds fell into.

But why is it that the English teams are always the first named, when talking about cutting down on big club spending? Are Real Madrid not the team that still hold the record for the biggest transfer fee paid for one player, with Zidane? Cleary £45million is quite a lot to spend for a player, not even including his wages. Real Madrid have to be in debt to some point, and they are the most successful team in UEFA Champions League history, so why aren’t they mentioned?

Simply because UEFA just like FIFA, hate England, and the fact that English teams are at the top of their game. England is so hated in Europe unfairly, that people need to attack football’s country of birth for some unknown reason. I’m guessing it’s the years of England’s almost lack of production in big European competitions, and now that’s come to and end. So everyone is mad that football’s inventor is taking the game back, and to the next level I guess?

The Premiership is the biggest league in the world now, so UEFA needs to knock it down a peg? Premiership ratings skyrocketing to new heights and gaining the league an every growing world audience is a problem for the sport? The Premiership in many ways has become bigger than the Champions League, so you have to deny them the right to express dominance over another league? It doesn’t make sense.

Like backwards relegation. If you win the league, you get dropped from it. Apparently that’s UEFA’s new rule set. You can only play in the Champions League if you aren’t a major performer. Teams that aren’t true Champions are the only ones allowed in Europe’s premier competition. If you win the Cup when better teams are barred from competing, are you really even a champion at that point?
Thats the biggest load of crapp I have ever seen. First of all, a report from the daily star? Can you reach any more tha that?

As for Fifa hating England? Why in the hell would they hate a country that brings them the most fans in the world cup? LOgic much.
As for them taking football back? LMAO! Havent won a WC since the one and only you won in 66 in Wembley. You havent been past the quarter finals in forever. Its always hype and no substance. There are too many good teams in the world for England to be a threat on the world stage. England Clubs obviously win because of money, and nothing else. They buy all the best players in the world, put them in the starting lineup or bench. Come talk about takig over football when you win something. Even Greece has won the European cup recently. Even Turkey, and Serbia have made it to the semi finals of the WC recently. Where is England? PLEASE!

No your wrong about The Daily star It is from bestinfooty.com

And your talking about international football last time i checked this Whole source was about club football and Uefa hating english Club teams.

At least we have won a world cup
people forget only 7 teams!!!! have won the world cup
Aint mad atcha have you not been watching the world cup qualifying games England have Mastered there group

100% record in there group beat croatia 4-1 away
2010 it's coming home!!!!

Wildcat! 07-05-2009 03:08 PM

ITs the daily star. Read the article after Michel Platini. Thats your answer.

Secondly, the article talks about Fifa hating Englan (international. Again do you post articles without even reading them.

England has won the World cup ages ago once. HAve been to the semis only one time in 1990. Its a pathetic record, given that you claim to be one of the best teams in the world. Like I said, even Croatia, Bulgaria, South Korea have been to the semis recently. Its all about hype.

So what if youre dominating the qualifiers? You always do! But you will choke at the WC as usual, just like everyone claimed last time was thr brst ever England team. They could hardly score a goal, where lucky to go past Ecuador.

As for 2010, you have no chance in hell. ot one European team has won the WC outside of Europe ever. NOt only that but this time its in Africa. You will have to deal with hot weather (thats pretty much over for all european teams, except for France). And you will have to deal with the South Americans, who play great in that type of weather. That aside, teams like Bresil, Argentina, are far superior to England.

In any event most of the other european teams have a better chance than england. France, Spain, Portugal etc....

BUt anyways this WC will be won by an African team or a SOuth american team. I suggest you stop dreaming, and prepare for 2014.:wavey:

Anyways, take a look at the flags chart on this page. Shows you who have ranked 1-4 in all the world cups. It will show you how sadly absent the english flag is, compared to all the others.

andyman 07-05-2009 04:25 PM

^Are you English?

As for an African winning the World Cup.... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
They can't play good as a team, some teams kinda do but many will be glory players so they get seen by the European clubs, happens everytime.
Some African teams have fantastic players but as for playing good as a team.... No!

Novo 07-05-2009 06:55 PM

African teams are Boring and crappy and they dont know the rules at all it's like watching Baby's learning to play noughts and crosses for the first time
