No, they won't. They don't need to drop it! They just need to give it a rest for a while. They also need to stop using it to try and promote other shows to no avail. It cheapens it.

Let's see what Viacom can do

daniel-lewis-1985 07-02-2015 04:07 PM

This last week of the series was strange the editing went back to the days when Brian Dowling was hosting and it felt cheap where as the first 2/3 weeks felt like a classic series.

Marcus Bentley screaming EMMA W(GGGGGGRRRR)ILLIS!!!! (Yes he really did roar like a lion) Last night was the start of a bad final for me lol.

Hope this isn't a sign for summer bb :(

Marcus Bentley needs to quieten down. I don't know what he's playing at.

ruiphillips 07-02-2015 04:16 PM

The finale deserved those figures. BB16's ratings are going to be dire.

Gstar 07-02-2015 04:26 PM

Marcus has been unberable this whole series I wouldn't be surprised if the final rated low because of him.

But yeah, this series has been brilliant

daniel-lewis-1985 07-02-2015 04:30 PM

On a brighter note the series average in overnights is the highest in the Channels history.

CBB13: 2.49 (10%)
CBB15: 2.62 (11.37)

Now comes the excrutiating 2 week wait to see what it averaged officially lol. Im intrigued to see what the final will get once those officials come in.

Jake. 07-02-2015 04:35 PM

Well there we go then, what a great overnight average and a brilliant share. I really enjoyed last nights final, felt it flowed really well.

It's definitely beat CBB13's ratings.
So far Week 1 and Week 2 of CBB15 have averaged 3.10M & 3.15M.
In CBB13, Week 1 and Week 2 averaged 2.99M and 2.94M.

If anything CBB15 will average somewhere around the 3.1-3.2 mark, whereas CBB13 averaged 3.07M.

Officials: in brackets are what the overnight was

Monday- 3.14m (2.55m)
Tuesday- 3.09m (2.67m)
Wednesday- 3.42m (2.90m)
Thursday- 3.47m (3.02m)
Friday- 3.20m (2.85m)
Saturday- 2.66m (2.12m)
Sunday- 3.09m (2.56m)

Week average- 3.15m

After 26 days (and only 6 officials remaining (5 days but there were two shows on the Monday) which will be released tomorrow... the average so far is 3.134m. With the ratings being a little lower in the last week, I expect the show to average officially at around 3.06m. I'm worried it won't even be the highest rated Ch5 series anymore, CBB13 managed 3.04m. I hope it beats that.

Brilliant ratings.

Isnt the week average 3.19 though and running average 3.16?

I calculated the above and from Mon-Sun, pretty sure the week average was 3.15m. Well, that's what the calc said. And how did you get 3.16m running average? I went on BBspy (and like a saddo), counted up all the current officials + the 7 we got today, divided it by the number of days on a calculator and it came up with a rounded up 3.134m.

The way you saw it was probably from the Sat-Friday which was 3.19m. And the 3.16m as you said for the running average doesn't include the last two ratings of the Sat and Sunday. Those two ratings made the whole series go from 3.16m to 3.13m. So, the 24 day average would have been 3.16m, but with those extra two days of the weekend, the overall average as of now is 3.134m.

I'm hoping for it to beat last years 3.04m. I'm worried that the overnight for the 8pm show on the Monday of 1.69m (maybe only around 2m officially) will have it go below 3.04m.

daniel-lewis-1985 10-02-2015 04:26 PM

Has anyone got the officials for the Monday the show got under 2 million at 8pm?

Thought they were going to be released today.

Agree, but C5 seem intent on overusing him. Their idea seems to be shoehorning him in everywhere they can (even the end-of-series best bits now), and having him be as OTT as possible.

Much better on c4 he was only used for the highlights show especially in its early years

Its the highest rated Bb on c5 to date

daniel-lewis-1985 16-02-2015 10:24 AM

Officials for the final week are out today so we will know if its beat CBB13 to beome the highest rated.

I'm interested in seeing how many viewers the finale gained in officials seeing as it was pretty poor in overnights.

MB. 16-02-2015 10:27 AM

It should beat CBB13 considering it's been well ahead of it so far, but it won't beat it by as much as some people previously thought because of that lower final week. I'll take a guess at about 3.1m.

The ratings of the final week have put it in serious risk of actually falling below CBB13...Its possible.

Remember that 1.6 Monday episode :bawling:

The overnights average is still well above CBB13's, which unless nobody's bothered to watch on catch up whatsoever, should transfer into the officials.
