I can't believe how much DS is kissing SOC's arse I really can't. This is awful

Marsh. 05-01-2017 11:30 PM

Here for BBC changing EE genre to allow them to return from the dead.

That thought literally just crossed my mind about Glenda when he told her to stay. :worry:

But SOC obviously didn't 'get' or understand the characters or didn't like them so I guess we shouldn't have expected anything else.

It's just such a contrast to his works pre-Christmas. He showed good understanding of the characters and their histories, but since Ronnie and Roxy's deaths he's distorted everyone's personalities completely and everyone's reacting in completely the opposite way to how they should be reacting.

Marsh. 05-01-2017 11:33 PM

Did SOC bring a dressing up box from home to the studios or something?

All we've had since he took over is plays/productions/costumes for random members of the cast. :suspect:

Rob! 05-01-2017 11:36 PM

Phil seems to have reached the end of his grieving period already :umm2:

Glenda turning up with a suitcase :amazed: move ha in :clap1:

Denver 05-01-2017 11:36 PM

Marsh. 05-01-2017 11:37 PM

Marsh. 05-01-2017 11:38 PM

I'm kind of glad we haven't seen their bodies. That always creeps me out.

Rob! 05-01-2017 11:39 PM

Where's Janet? In her room

Probably SOC's next victim :idc:

Ashley. 05-01-2017 11:40 PM

Never mind Janet, where on earth is Matthew

Denver 05-01-2017 11:40 PM

I saw him sat on the sofa when Jack was telling them they were dead but apart from that.

I hope they're not just going to gloss over the fact that Matthew isn't Jack's either. Wouldn't Charlie automatically now be entitled to legal custody?

It would never be the same, Roxy and Ronnie were just the epitome of modern EE for me.

Denver 05-01-2017 11:42 PM

Charlie to return in a explosive storyline?

They helped bring the show into a new era when it struggled to get out of the rut of the old one.

I seem to remember a LOT of major characters left in 2006 and the show hit rock bottom. Then the Branning/Mitchell resurgence began and resurrected it through to 2010.

Yeah, it's not like Charlie wouldn't have known about Ronnie's death either considering it's all over the news.
