Russia is a right wing endeavour - Corbyn is left wing and has no sympathies or allignment with a Putin regime, beyond not wanting war (how terrible). However, you may not remember this, and as another poster brought this up, it seems fair game, but during the poisoning scandal, NATO called an emergency summit to tackle Russia. Boris Johnson - who was home sec at the time, walked out of the conference, ditched his handlers, went to a Berlusconi partiy, where he hosted Russian oligarchs. The son of one of the attendees at that party was recently given a lifetime in the house of lords and collects his money from them to this day. So pray tell, who's the Russian sympathiser?

I hate to do this, but falsely throwing around anti-Semitism claims to use Jews to do your bidding really is anti Semitic, but have you ever read Boris' novel, by chance? Where he talks of curly haired jews with proud noses controlling the media. You should check it out.

Here's Boris showing how you really should treat terrorists, though...

Here's the thing, diplomacy is essential part of being a country, so I don't see the big deal with talking to adversaries and people you disagree with, but unfortunately we're not playing by the same rules.

But...but...Boris Johnson. I haven't even mentioned Boris Johnson in my posts.

As I have said, I have no interest in wasting my time now on Corbyn or your ignorant, misguided cheerleading of his self proclaimed ‘peacemaking’. He’s irrelevant.

Just sitting here thinking, oh well at least there isn't mass slaughters...

Then I look up to see a tank swerve on a main road and run over a civilians car.

Luckily the old man inside survived.

It’s a war crime surely?

Coward Russians just pressed a button. And for what? Some little island that posed no threat?

It is a war crime imo, it's just sadly certain countries are unofficially allowed to do that nowadays unfortunately.

Hopefully I'm wrong in this case though.

They actually shot 2 down which can hold up to 150 troops each, most of the Kyiv citizens that stayed have been given guns and have been told to make petrol bombs something Russia wasn't expected and have been holding them off fine.

There is unconfirmed reports that the Russians have been sent with no clean clothes or food and are really struggling with a small percentage having deserted their post to cross the border for refugee status

Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Moldova are seen as the most likely target next as Putin wants to reform the USSR, Moldova has an agreement of sorts with Nathan and is close to Romania who is part of Nato

Vanessa 26-02-2022 04:24 AM

The Ukrainians will defend their land to the death. I think Putin has massively underestimated them.

Honestly the best case scenario is some sort of peace treaty that says Russia commits no further acts of aggression, and Ukraine can try to become a NATO member but that there will be no NATO base anywhere near the Russian border, perhaps even create a DMZ.

My fear if Russia ends up being kicked out of Ukraine having discovered it cannot secure that birder with traditional military force, and Ukraine ends up with NATO bases close to Russia, is that Russia will very quickly start to rattle the nuclear sabre.

Russia's forces are obviously massive in comparison to Ukraine but its starting to look like they have severe supply line problems.

Also it seems a lot like a large percentage of Russia's equipment is dated. They do for example have a small number of advanced fighter jets BUT the bulk of their quoted 1500+ are old. Ukraine doesn't have many but from what I've read, they're flying F-35's, and basically anything but Russia's newest jets aren't a match for them, which I guess would be why Russia needs to take out air bases fast... They don't seem to be comparing well in the air. Reports of ONE Ukrainian F-35 shooting down 6 Russian fighter jets in one encounter.
