No matter who gets banned and what the reason is, they always have members that are friends and then more often than not members that don't get on with them so much, so apart from other members bans being nothing at all to do with anyone else it also causes arguments to just let lots of discussion go on about them because all it takes is for one to say I'm glad xxxxxxxx was finally banned and someone else to disagree and it goes from there it's also unfair on the banned member because they are unable to speak up for themselves.
Some members seem to think they have to be involved in everything that's went on and that causes a lot of unnecessary drama too because they start posting comments about things they have no clue about and it never ends well.

Can posts just not be deleted then? And threads closed rather than deleted or cleaned? Just to make things more transparent so people know what really went on

We cant just not delete posts, some of the stuff that gets posted towards members on here can be very offensive and people report posts like that no matter if the thread is closed or not, just because it's been dealt with doesn't make it any less offensive either.
And your comment about being stricter on people just proves we can't win no matter what we do, it takes a lot for us to put members onto a long ban and we don't like doing it, we give out more than enough chances but then when we finally do it we get members moaning anyway.
Another thing is there's certain members on this forum that seem to want drama constantly or be involved in it, they want to know everything that's happened, ask constantly about deleted messages, banned members when they have no need to know at all.
As for Scott's ban, he's not just banned for creating a blog, this has been said before and other members constantly asking for the ban to be lifted won't do him any good, if or when he gets unbanned it will be our decision and not due to other members thinking they need to speak on his behalf.
