Oh she's improved over the years sure. I've never watched Law and Order but I saw her in something else and she was quite good.

But in Doctor who she was ATROCIOUS. she literally couldn't utter a single word without making the audience cringe. Poor David Tennant.

Freema isn't wooden at all just watch all her other stuff (Law and Order) to see that

Not understanding the Blink, Turn Left and Love & Monsters comparison when they're both ends of the DW spectrum and they learnt from the mistakes of L&M on how to do a Doctor-Lite episode properly. It doesn't show that Rose was adored when Jackie was equally liked but she featured heavily.

"Equally liked"

Sure Jan

Can't remember the actress name, but Sally Sparrow from blink deserve an honourable mention.

The assistant who never was, but then that position was filled by Freema as Matha

No mention of Clara (Jenna- Louise Coleman)

Jenna seemed quite good in Victoria

Martha was a good companion but wasn't the best by far! I much preferred her when she popped up in Torchwood. Companions are usually really hit and miss. I think Amy had such potential but they ruined her by making her The Doctor's mother in law or whatever the pointless River storyline was. (I do adore River though.)

Clara is one of my favourites, post-series 7 that is. The impossible girl stuff wasn't great, but she came into her own in Series 8/9 and was bloody fantastic. I think she carried the series.

Couple of rumours for Series 10..

Spoiler:

The Flood from The Waters Of Mars could potentially be returning.
The Doctor could face The Valeyard
Enemies in the new season will include the Thames-snake and giant woodlice
The Sea Devils could return
Jenna Coleman could be making a cameo appearance as Clara Oswald
Osgood could be returning

I agree that Martha was better in Torchwood. I just found the "head over heels for the Doctor" storyline hard to believe and extremely contrived. It made the third season look like a bad hangover...

Spoiler:

Would be here for the Valeyard but would anyone understand who he is?

Bring back Omega or Rani tbh

Ashley. 01-01-2017 05:45 PM

Spoiler:

It would make sense (I guess) to bring him back considering he's supposed to be an alternate version of the Peter Capaldi Doctor (or something like that) but I could do without him.

Oaker 01-01-2017 05:47 PM

Spoiler:

Bringing back the Valeyard is totally something I could see Moffat doing as his 'big finale'.

Ashley. 01-01-2017 05:48 PM

Spoiler:

Thank god he's leaving

Spoiler:

Only a year until everyone can complain about Chibnall

Pete. 01-01-2017 05:58 PM

Spoiler:

I bet he brings back Mel too

Ashley. 01-01-2017 06:01 PM

I don't know what to feel about Chibnall. Some of his Torchwood episodes were alright, but his Doctor Who credits just happen to be the worst episodes of each season.

Oaker 30-01-2017 08:47 PM

Series 10 will be Peter Capaldi's last series.

Just announced on BBC Radio 2

Bless him but I do agree this is the best time for him to leave

Ross. 30-01-2017 09:01 PM

Oh

Ashley. 30-01-2017 09:04 PM

It's sad because I've adored him in his other works, such as Torchwood, but I just couldn't warm to him as The Doctor (I blame the writing more than anything, though).

Denver 30-01-2017 09:06 PM

Who next then?

Firewire 30-01-2017 09:12 PM

Probably a female

Firewire 30-01-2017 09:14 PM

Lacey Turner please

MB. 30-01-2017 09:21 PM

Not really that surprising, I'd expect Chris Chibnall to want to start fresh (so that makes introducing a new companion now a bit pointless, but oh well)

Personally, I think the replacement should be someone who already has the initials DW
