I hated it. I waited almost 7 months for that? like really, so disappointing and anticlimactic

Ramsay 24-10-2016 08:24 PM

Spoiler:

Abe taking it like a boss :clap1: Fully expecting Glenn to be hiding under the bat and randomly turn up in episode 5. Ah no, really though i was expecting Glenn but was reallyyyyy hoping they'd pull the trigger and kill off Daryl. A true shock that the show needed i'd dare say. Still though, great episode. Negan seems beast and I genuinely thought Carl's hand was coming off. Nice reference to the comics. Oh well, Rick is now his bitch.

Spoiler:

For anyone that's a GTA5 fan, the guy who plays Negan's right hand man, the man who gave him the sharpie, is the actor who voiced Trevor, Steven Ogg.

He kinda looked familiar to me last night

Spoiler:

The double death had me shook, I didn't expect it at all. In a way I'm kind of here for Rick being taken down a peg, just a shame it's at the expense of other characters

arista 24-10-2016 09:21 PM

Great episode

Babayaro. 24-10-2016 09:22 PM

That was such a good episode :clap1:

Abraham putting up no fuss and just accepting his fate was brilliant, and a heroic way for him to go. Glenn's death on the other hand, was truly disturbing. I kind of figured he would be the one to go once Daryl attacked Negan, but that didn't make things any less shocking. Jeffrey Dean Morgan deserves so much credit for that episode though, he made me hate Negan SO much.

I didn't notice that :omgno:

OH MY HEART

Tom4784 24-10-2016 09:57 PM

I thought it was pretty meh, it felt like a couple of scenes stretched out over an hour and the deaths were completely predictable.

AMC's greed has been slowly killing this series since Season 3. Everything's so ****ing drawn out just so they can make more money from advertisers.

Devo'd Glenn's gone tbh.The way he went too.Left him in pain with his eye hanging out for way too long.

BBfanUSA 25-10-2016 05:18 AM

As we saw, they showed everyone getting offed by the bat at one point during Rick's 1 on 1 experience with Negan.

And it turns out they did full alternate death takes, here's Maggie meeting Lucille

Great episode, really enjoyed it. Apart from when they killed Glenn
Loved Andrew in this, excited for the the season!

Spoiler:

Great Episode, i really like Negan for some weird reason, he's my favourite villain in a series to date, Glenn's death was absolutely a bit overkill to be honest, but Abe omg i didn't see that one coming, and for some reason i do think there is some weird plot twist coming up, involving Gregory and Jesus

Spoiler:

...although Abe and Glenn's deaths were gruelling and sad/emotional and I didn't feel they had to be so graphic either..I knew deaths were coming/had psyched myself...(and didn't watch all of the bits either..)...the thing I found most gruelling and emotional was Rick being faced with having to cut of his own son's arm.../that was so messed up..and then that down from the emotion hen he didn't have to do it../a complete frenzied rollercoaster of emotions...

Tom4784 25-10-2016 11:51 AM

I don't get why people liked that episode so much, it was incredibly one note throughout. I was bored and tempted to skip ahead at several points.

Jessica. 25-10-2016 12:05 PM

I didn't really like it tbh :umm2:

Northern Monkey 25-10-2016 12:09 PM

I thought it was really good. They had to find something that would break Rick into submission.Up until he was forced to almost cut off Carls arm he still had that pissed off look in his eyes. The look of a man who wanted to take vengeance. That scene with Carl was showing us that Rick was finally putty in Neegans hand.It was his one weakness. The only thing that could make him submit.
I think this season has been set up to be amazing. They're trapped and it's going to take alot to get out of the situation they're in.

It was not nice to watch but it was designed imo to make us realise that Neegan is worst enemy they've faced.Pure inhumane evil.I mean even The Governer had a glint of humanity and emotion to him.Neegan has nothing good in him at all.I think it was also to make us hate him so when they do finally escape and get their revenge(probably Maggie will kill him i think) it will be all the more satisfying.I think this will be the groups greatest challenge yet.

BBfanUSA 25-10-2016 07:51 PM

I was fine with the episode but I think everything would've been a bit better if they ended S6 with Abe's death and did the premiere like it was looking back

IMO Carl is the most likely to kill Negan. He broke all of the characters who were there that episode - except Carl. Carl still had that look of hatred by the end... and was still being defiant... but Negan not only knowingly left him "unbroken" by the end but actually changed his mind about having his hand cut off. He doesn't see him as a serious threat, so didn't feel like he had to break his will, but has a strange respect for him.

My exact prediction would be... Negan will take and form some sort of mentor relationship with Carl, believing he is bringing him round to his way of thinking. Carl will play along for the majority of the season. Towards the end of the storyline, Rick will be taking on Negan, and will be beaten by Negan and about to be killed. Carl will then take the opportunity to kill Negan. To be even more exact... I think Negan will totally trust Carl and will have given him Lucille to hold while he takes on Rick. Carl will then kill Negan by smashing his head in when his back is turned, using Lucille.

Wonder how close I am :joker:

....oh I hadn't even thought of Carl being 'mentored' by Negan but I like your thought process.../I was wondering how the season storyline would progress and that would be a good direction to take it with Rick genuinely believing that Carl is now 'Negan's son' but it's all just Carl playing along and waiting for the opportunity....I'm not sure that Carl would have the physical strength to the deed himself though../I'm not sure that he'll be the one who kills him but I like your style with the rest of it.../I'll put five English pounds on Toy Soldier calling season 7....

Ammi 26-10-2016 05:34 AM

Spoiler:

...if it stays true to the comics with Negan's character../not that I've read the comics but some have said that Negan has his own 'code of honour' and he doesn't harm females or children..?...that would fit as well (also including the females in the group...)...that while he's focusing on the 'strength' of the group, his biggest threats are actually his weaknesses.../children and females...
