You're getting to CBB15 and CBB16 which might be the peak of C5 CBB and you want to skip them for CBB11?

Silly CAHNT!

The real question is why did you ditch your civilian watches for bloody CBB :nono: at least you've watched some good ones tho and had mostly good opinions (sans disliking the GC)

caprimint 03-02-2018 06:26 PM

I enjoyed both CBB16 and CBB11, 16 is definitely the more entertaining one though and I think you'd like it more.

You have to watch Austin's original series still though :nono:

RileyH 03-02-2018 06:32 PM

11 is trash

The seasons are tooooo long! As a new watcher that still prefers the US format, it was too discouraging to go for it. :joker:

Also does this mean you were a Bear stan? :fc:

Austin's original series. :worry: Forgot 16 was his original season (right?). Kinda dreading it tbh. :hehe:

But hoping you're right and he's actually better in that. :fc:

Oh fair enough, the series lengths are definitely a chore compared to how easy it is to watch BBUS  it's part of the reason why I've never yet rewatched any or caught up on the ones I never saw (the other reason being I've prioritised watching all the BBUS/Survivor seasons first cause I prefer them). When BBUK is axed again (so...soon), it'll be time. But having said all that, you've watched enough of the good CBB's now that you really should dedicate some time to the golden era series, namely BB6

I haven't finished a summer CBB series since CBB12, and the last one I saw enough of to form an opinion on the winner was CBB14. I tend to be really busy, end up being behind by two weeks, have fatigue through civilian, think it's overexposed and so give up...so I never got far enough to form an opinion on him! By the time I'd stopped watching, I think he was just okay to me? Like I got he was a big character and thought the outrage was a bit OTT, but at the same time a lot of the stuff he was doing was beginning to just be unfunny and more uncomfortable, so I don't really know how my opinion would've ever turned out :joker:

Oh yeah, well the same applies to my original post anyway  I was mistaking it for KT Hopkins' series though which is another good one. Not sure if you've seen it? CBB15?

I really think you'll change your opinion of him in this one :hehe:

I'd love to watch the civilian BBUK seasons but whose idea was to make them all 60+ episodes (sometimes even way more I think when I did my research)? :skull:

Survivor was so great/easy for me to watch. 14ish episodes is sooo perfect.

Also honestly (at least for me) I think Bear gets better and more endearing as the season goes on and the others look worse. :clap1: Some of his stuff was pretty uncomfortable/awkward at first but still I did personally find most of it kinda amusing throughout.

Only seen CBB21-17(almost finished). I'm getting there. (unless I skip CBB15 for CBB11 but then I'd go back to it right after anyway)

Yeah the series length gradually increased each year (I believe anyway) up until BB6 when it went to 11 weeks and then to 13 weeks in BB7, where it remained that length until BB10 (two years before the show moved to C5). It was meant to run for 13 weeks on C5 too but when they decided to start doing summer CBB they cut 3 weeks off civilian and just ran it for 10, and have now cut it back to like 7 :skull:

So yeah, a 13 week season is around 93 episodes...that's the daily format for you :joker: I think that's half the problem, I don't mind watching long seasons live at all, in fact I prefer them, but they must be a ****ing chore to rewatch D: but I promise it'd be worth it! Just got to commit yourself

Hm maybe I'll end up watching the summer series I've never seen one day to judge him properly, but I think that's a long way back in the queue of things I've got to watch

JerseyWins 03-02-2018 07:26 PM

93 episodes :skull: That's like somewhere between 5-10 seasons of any regular show (more likely closer to 10). :joker:

The fact that my CBB19 to CBB17 watch so far is around that many episodes. I'd still be watching my first civilian BBUK season. :laugh2:

CBB19 pretty easily for me. :clap1: Speidi in the beginning and then Kim Woodburn throughout the middle to end. :worship:

I think I'd say CBB19 > CBB18 > CBB17 right now but all 3 good seasons. CBB17 is actually a step below IMO but it still rivals the other two in some ways. I've just gotten a bit bored of it in the 2nd half for some reason.

I'm more shocked that you're even surprised by that. I bet he'll find 18 better than 4 at this point

If you ever want to watch a solid summer series watch 16 instead. Don't waste your time on that masochism drivel commonly referred to as 'CBB18'
