This has been a brilliant competition and I have found common ground on here with a lot of younger members whom I now like and respect.

This is because, despite my song parody being about Corbyn and Abbott and Livingstone, it WAS written as a bit of piss-taking fun and to my GREAT delight it has been received in exactly that way by everybody.

I know that certain members WERE going to vote for me and if they multi-voted to the tune of 100's of votes, then even though I would rather that did not happen, it is surely no different from other members or Judges voting for their friends or favourite members rather than the quality of song - something which most certainly DOES happen.

I just did not want any 'politics' or 'personality' problems spoiling this thread and this comp and I am more than genuinely willing to give this 'Win' up and be pleased to have MB have it because MB and Livia were my top 2.

The show is always great, I always look forward to it every time its on.

It was clearly ruined by the poll, and somebody voting in it 700 times or more, thus making the judge and jury scores entirely irrelevant.

All that any future winner has to do now is literally enter anything and sit on their computer refreshing a screen all day.

Nothing personal kirk. I don’t believe it was you that was refreshing your computer all day. But somebody did, and that ruined it for everybody.

Also, just to clarify that like most people here, I don't think any of us rigged the vote and none of us should be judged unfairly for someone else's sabotage... in fact, if it were one of us, I wouldn't have even been mad, because if one of us wanted the win so badly that they voted for themselves 800-odd times then I say why not give it to them? It's the fact that whoever spam-voted thought that they were helping Kirk, Livia, Adam etc (that is, if the same person was responsible for each) when in reality they were just putting a dampener on their success. On the plus side, it gives us all plenty of material to use for Xmasvision :clap1:

Even without the public poll some simply vote for friends. It's a shame but it's just a forum game and like all forum voted games popularity and friendships can sway votes. Part and parcel of taking part really.
