There was an 'expert' on the radio just now who said it looks like Sunak will be first and Truss second. With Truss becoming PM. :nono:

He then went on to say that the nasty dirty attacks on Penny seemed to have worked and she won't be in 2nd place.

Fine isn't it. Dirty tricks to make sure who 'wins'.

The prospect of Truss being our PM is horrific. The woman couldn't stack shelves. She's all wrong. She looks wrong. Everything about her is wrong.

I'll give her 10 months and she too will be out.

penny was never likely to finish in the top 2. The right wing vote when consolidated with truss after the others drop out will likely put her ahead of Rishi. Penny could still do it if she picks up Tom's voters but that is looking less and less likely

Apparently, she was 'favourite' before the attacks. Go back and look at all the news reports.

Starmer just said a Minister gave the Middle Finger to the Public,

Bollocks

She stuck her finger up at a Swearing Left Wing Activist Gang
outside the Entrance to 10 Downing St

Cherie 18-07-2022 04:39 PM

Truss will be abysmal, Starmer must be rubbing his hands in glee

she was favourite in polls of tory members, not tory mp's .... and this is all about mp's. She hasn't handled things very well in the debates and that will have lost her support. Truss was dire, but her voter base is more nailed on

You can’t blame every action of the Tories on ‘lefties’ Arista, she did it, there’s videos of her doing it, she didn’t like the crowd booing Boris, give your head a wobble pal

the vote is at 10pm, they don't need to be at the debate as they know how they will be voting

So the vote is whether or not to hold a confidence vote?

The day after they clashed in ITV's televised debate, it's understood that Tory leadership candidates were summoned by the 1922 Committee of Conservative backbenchers earlier today and reminded to be civil in their debates.

The five remaining candidates were spoken to in Parliament this afternoon. The backbench committee also sought assurances no candidate would drop out if they reached the final two.

It comes after a TV debate between the contenders on Sky News scheduled for Tuesday was cancelled after Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss declined to take part. Senior Tories have express concern that angry arguments in public could damage the party.
