Arsenal bit unlucky to lose, being down to 10 men for that long was always going to tell against a side as good as Barca, have to say though the ref had an awful game and I doubt he'll be given another high profile game again.Well done to Arsenal for getting as far as they did and putting in a good performance and wel done to Barca on the win.

Mike 17-05-2006 09:26 PM

I totally agree with what Thierry Henry said at the end the ref was a total joke, the amount of times Puyol and Marquez fouled him and never got booked was unbelievable - fair play to Barca in the end though.

THE_JUNK_MAN 17-05-2006 10:23 PM

great game made up Arsenal got beat........sorry Arsenal fans but I am.....

Kore 17-05-2006 11:37 PM

*PlayGirl* 18-05-2006 11:46 AM

Missed the match...AND the highlights

Can't believe Arsenal lost ... we got cheated!!!

InTheHood 18-05-2006 10:48 PM

The ref was just as bad for both sides, but Ronaldinho was the big disappointment, he was very poor.

Roll on June 09

Mike 18-05-2006 11:17 PM

Yeah can't wait for the world cup to start.

Red Moon 18-05-2006 11:18 PM

Who cares about the world cup... bring on the championship.

Southend Rule...... lol

InTheHood 18-05-2006 11:26 PM

Netherlands are going to win the World Cup, so England fans, don't even bother entering :joker:

Actually, we're in the toughest group, we may not even get out of it :joker:

Shame 'The Goat' retired

Red Moon 18-05-2006 11:44 PM

The Goat was such a nice player... one of the best in the game.

It would be hard to find a better person. Eastwood did so so well from learning from a true gentleman in the game.

I'm glad we had him, he add so much to the team and it was the whole team that won the title.

And we had a great manager too!

Being great in the under 17's, means nothing.

Thing is, I support Heerenveen, where I have lived in my life, not a team where i've never visited the City. It's too easy to glory hunt, and something I will not do.

How is Cornwall this time of year anyway? :joker:
I actually corrected all of the nonsense that was spread over five posts in just one.

They're not in the under 17's any more, and both spent last season at Premiership clubs - the finest league in Europe. And the fact that Arsenal, manure, et al were desperate for their signatures suggests otherwise, in any case.

It's easy to distance yourself from an impossibility, of course.

I've really no idea. Why not ask one of your imaginary patients? And then you could ask James to trace my I.P. with my blessing. Or perhaps you'd prefer scans of my ticket stubs from Anfield, along with my bus tickets home afterwards, too? I'd be more than happy to post those each week for you, of course. Awww, it must really bruise the ego to lose a debate about football hands down to a girl, huh?

Mike 21-05-2006 04:55 PM

Congrats to Watford - Glad they won, out the two teams they definately deserved it more IMO.

BigSister 21-05-2006 05:51 PM

Dan_ 21-05-2006 11:02 PM

Well done Watford, got some really good young players and a good young manager. I think they can stay up with a couple of signings in key areas.

skelo4eva 21-05-2006 11:19 PM

BigSister 22-05-2006 10:47 AM

InTheHood 22-05-2006 11:20 AM

Catania one win away from Serie A :hello:

Considering 13 years ago, they were in England's equivalent of Conference North/South (Divison 6) that is quite an achievement.

InTheHood 23-05-2006 10:54 PM

Rosicky to Arsenal, Tonetto to Roma, Rui Costa to Benfica, Spackman new manager of Millwall, Aguirre new coach of Atletico Madrid, Heynckes new coach of M'Gladbach, Diego Ribas to Bremen.

Busy couple of days in transfer market.

Mike 23-05-2006 10:59 PM

Gillingham signed two players from Southend on Monday...

Red your a Southend fan - What are Mark Bentley and Duncan Jupp like?
