BBC News Text:
[Sir Keir is further quoted by the Metro saying that, in the past, the "predominant threat was highly organised political groups with clear political intent" like al-Qaeda and that, while that threat remains, a new one is posed by people "desperate for notoriety, sometimes inspired by traditional terrorist groups, but fixated on that extreme violence, seemingly for its own sake".] https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standar...64111.png.webp |
This could have neen prevented. His behavior was flagged at least three times and nothing was done about it.

The idea Amazon is to blame for selling the knife shows that this government
from the PM and Home Secretary down will go to any lengths to deflect the blame for what happened. If for some reason Amazon had said no all he had to do was go into the kitchen drawer. It is absurd and too much of the Main Stream media has fallen for this spin. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gh7gLevX...jpg&name=small |

Weren't a lot (most/all) of the cock-ups under the Tories anyway?
When it comes to Prevent, from what I hear as he didn't (at the time) have any specific ideology on which his behaviour could be "blamed", there was only so much toward which their jurisdiction reached. |

The sad thing is the sentencing and what he'll be given as a minimum term.
Will likely never be an appropriate one for this vile crime of this individual. Because of his age. |
Child-killer Axel Rudakubana said he was “so happy” and it was a “good thing those children are dead” after stabbing to death three young girls in the Southport attack, a court has heard.
The 18-year-old faces life in prison for a knife rampage at a children’s Taylor Swift themed dance class in Southport on July 29 last year. Rudakubana armed himself with a large kitchen knife, he took a taxi to the dance studio, and started stabbing children at random. Three - Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven – died of the injuries inflicted by Rudakubana. Eight other children were injured, as well as two adults, dance class instructor Leanne Lucas and businessman John Hayes, who tried to intervene to stop the attack. At the sentencing hearing, prosecutor Deanna Heer KC said Rudakubana was behind a “pre-meditated, planned knife attack upon multiple victims, principally young girls, intending to kill them. Three children were killed, two of those children suffered particularly horrific injuries which are difficult to explain as anything other than sadistic in nature. “He also attempted to kill ten others, inflicting a number of stab wounds upon them, including to their backs, suggesting they were inflicted as they tried to escape. |
The Judge has confirmed
the killer was seen by a medical aid and is fine to attend court. Ref: BBC2HD Politics Live |
