I guess since people in general look down on those who claim they like watching this type of thing to fuel their anger even more.

Yeah, I agree

Ironic how BB 14 most viewed highlight show was week 5 Monday which got 1.77 (Daley's Ejection aftermath), and BB 15 highest ratings highlight show so far is week 5 Monday with 1.40.

I think it's doing well, considering the World Cup is still on. :)

Jake. 08-07-2014 12:04 PM

Very good

Brother Leon 08-07-2014 12:32 PM

Nice. Next two days will be messy though.

daniel-lewis-1985 08-07-2014 12:33 PM

Its so random that 200k more people decided to tune in lol it wasn't just the finger blast as that +1 rating of 90,000 wasn't really any different from the usual +1 gets.

Benefits Britain is doing amazingly well.

Isnt it annoying though that whenever something big happens a world cup game happens or its a frigging Saturday when less people are watching.

Tonight is going to be explosive from the clips weve seen, the boys had to step in and stop Helen and Ashleigh.

Will. 08-07-2014 12:38 PM

Yeah it was pretty random, but there wasn't much competition and there wasn't match and maybe benefits viewers though they would watch. Hopefully it gets similar tonight as people will want to come back too see how Stephen and Kim are getting on.

Rob! 08-07-2014 01:30 PM

Good to see the show is still capable of pulling in those type of figures - h
Will the football bleed into the +1 showing tonight?

Its up against the football tonight think which is a shame as it looks like its gonna be a good episode.

Does anyone know what bots got last night?

Yeah Its annoying, football does not interest me unless England are playing. Strange how like 8 M watch the world cup, I don't know anyone who will watch it unless England are playing.

mrmattybeck1 08-07-2014 02:40 PM

A bit better I must say but will be down tonight sadly

mrmattybeck1 08-07-2014 02:41 PM

I still remember the days bbuk used to get 5m daily those were the days :)

CaudleHalbard 08-07-2014 02:44 PM

The novelty of BB wore off years ago. There are so many other 'reality' shows now. We are saturated.

Kai Anders 08-07-2014 03:52 PM

Very happy with yesterday's rating! I'd like to think BOTS had a tiny boost, over the 'finger-blast' hype! It's a shame tonights episode will probably not garner the same result, however I'm sure official figures could pose good if people want to see the possible aftermath of last night, and this big argument! I think for the first time in a long time, I'm quite looking forward to tonight's episode!

Will. 09-07-2014 08:12 AM

I reckon last night got 1-1.1 M. Very surprised if it got higher, and wouldn't be so surprised if it got less.

sampvt 09-07-2014 08:31 AM

If they had a production team with a few 'O' levels, the show might do better.

**** tasks, free passes, racist and homophobic issues being covered up, **** tv times, Rylans doing ok but Ian Lee is a prick, Biased BBBOTS, crappy storylines, irregular punishments and an overall contempt for the viewers is enough to kill any show.

When the day comes that the prods listen to the fans, they might recover. I suggested years ago that a think tank of fans needs to be established, but they didnt call me, lol.

billy123 09-07-2014 08:35 AM

Last nights wont be great.

Huge!!

UK TV Ratings ‏@TVRatingsUK 3s
Coverage of #BRAvGER averaged 11.52m/51.0%. The match began with 11.23m, jumped to 13.13m at 9.20, then remained above 13m until full time.

*mazedsalv** 09-07-2014 09:46 AM

Looks like C5 escaped by far the least hurt than the other channels whilst facing the footie. You can't say CSI and BB's fanbase aren't loyal! BB came 3rd in its slot, it was not far off ITV which got 1.8m.

Against the football...

ITV (+1 in brackets)
Love Your Garden - 2.7m (2,8m)
Benidorm - 1.4m (1.5m)
News at Ten - 1.7m (1.8m)
Piers Morgan Life Stories - 700k (800k)

BBC2
University Challenge - 1.4m
Shopgirls - 1.2m
Best of Sarah Millican - 700k
Newsnight - 400k

C4
Kirsty's Fill Your House For Free 1.3m (1.5m)
Beauty Queen or Bust - 600k (700k)
Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares - 500k (700k)

C5
Dog Rescuers - 1.2m (1.3m)
CSI - 1.1m (1.2m)
BB - 1m (1.1m)

Will. 09-07-2014 10:51 AM

Pretty good when the World Cup got 13 Million!! Compare that to some days which got like 900k and had no big games as competition.

Samm 09-07-2014 10:53 AM

Very good since it was against the highest rated footballl matched and survived not going under 1 million

C4 got destroyed

Vladimir 09-07-2014 10:54 AM

Wow, that's a loyal fan base! It definitely deserved more but it did more than well against the match!

*mazedsalv** 10-07-2014 09:49 AM

I think BB is holding up very well against the semis. Last night got 1.09m excl +1 (up 60k on the night before without +1), with +1 it would be around 1.15m-1.18m I would predict.

CaudleHalbard 10-07-2014 09:51 AM

I imagine it is still one of C5's highest rated shows and therefore pretty safe for the foreseeable future.

mrmattybeck1 10-07-2014 09:56 AM

Viacom takes over c5 officially on Monday I believe wounder wat their plans are I think cbb is fine but civilian bb not sure what the future for that is

I think if the show was done right decent cast live feed better spinoff show and better editing it could be capable of getting 2m a night

You could be right.

It does need a major refresh though with new ideas.

Thing is, bringing LF will help, but I think the promotion is the thing that would help the most. If it launches with 2m then there's no way it will stay like that through the run, it always drops, regardless how good a series is. For it to average 2m across the run, it needs a 3m+ launch figure and the way they need to do that is promote it intensely!

This year launched with 2.1m, so I knew it wouldn't stay above 1.6 in the overnights. Had it launched with 3.5m for example, then it would be averaging around 2.5m.

I'm thinking the producers can't wait for January's CBB and hope it does as good as CBB13 did. I mean these ratings are staggering for Ch5...

CBB13 Launch- 3.69m
Lee's Eviction (3 days before final)- 3.63m
CBB13 final- 3.71m *peak of 4m.

CaudleHalbard 10-07-2014 10:16 AM

Although this is a "miserable" house with not much fun, it seems to be doing well.... in the circumstances.

I am hoping they will axe the Summer CBB this year it gets like a Million less than the Winter CBB does, there is no need for the Summer Version

mrmattybeck1 10-07-2014 10:23 AM

We don't even know yet if Viacom are renewing bbuk and cbb fingers crossed we should know in the next month or two

There is no way that CBB will be axed. It would be like ITV all of a sudden cancelling IAC, BGT and X Factor on the same day.
