I love "The Edge of Glory" so much, it's probably my second favorite song she's ever released, pure perfection. :lovedup: At first, I was a bit unsure of it becoming the 3rd single but I'm so happy it is now. Looking forward to seeing the video for it too and I hope it can get to #1 in America and over here.

Oh and I watched the Monster Ball finally yesterday on Sky and I was really impressed by the whole show. Loved her frequent audience interaction and that Monster Fish in Paparazzi was so cool!

The gap between release and MV release is srs stoopid though, people will be well over it by then!

If you release a song there should be a video release on the same day. Even more so if the artist is well known for their videos, which she obviously is.

It wasn't planned to be a single, it was only made a single because it charted so well after it was released as a promo song :p

That video took a while to come out.

Yeah, but it gives a song longevity releasing the music video after a few weeks, it provides higher sales than songs that are given a mv and radio airplay, that peak at the same time then fall off the charts all together

Thinking back Born This Way was didn't have a video that was released at the time of the single and that song release was definitely planned months before.

I remember BTW not making number 1 and as it started to fall out of the top ten the video was released and the song jumped back up into the top 5. I remember thinking had the video been released at the same time it may have made number 1.

BTW would of got #1 had it not been released on a friday :sad: as such it peaked @ #3 fell down to #8 a couple of weeks later then back up to #3 after the video. But yeah I see your point

I can't remember, but was Telephone and Bad Romance released with the video at the same time ? I thought they were, but not 100%.

Those two were in the charts for a very long time and if the videos were released at the same time, it shows that leaving a gap isn't always going to be for the best. Or that's how I see it.

I haven't read anywhere if she is to release a video for The Edge Of Glory, do you know and if so is there a date of release ? I hope she does one because it's a brilliant song.

Oh yes, good point I'd forgotten about that. That could be a bigger factor (than releasing the video at the same time) in why it didn't enter at number 1
