No, I think that was a bit insensitive, but it could be construed many ways, one being that it is such a paltry amount. Something like a hundred quid a fortnight isnt it? Insensitive, but not necessarily a badnatured comment.

Well that's the point, it's disrespectful, and he was laughing, so it came across very pompous. I don't mean badnatured as in evil, but just with a very low regard to those less fortunate than him.

And because his parents have provided for him in the past does not mean they do now. By the sounds of it, he gets no allowance or anything from them, they are getting him to make his own money, which is a good thing, otherwise he would be just another spoilt little rich kid.

I disagree, I think that a millionaire living in his parents house means he gets taken VERY good care of, and lives a great life. He's often said how he's very fortunate, has servants, it's a great house, he has total freedom in there, etc. When lisa enquired him, he didn't seem to have a real job. 'Setting up businesses, launching my political career' - What's that, exactly?

It isnt a technicality that he can claim at all. He isnt rich. So he can claim.

It is a technicality. You are either entitled to claim, or not. The mass topics, debates and opinions on his lifestyle, parents, upbringing, his character, his laughing, 'pocket money' comment etc is the crux of why we're debating the topic. Not about law braking.

For all you know lisas parents/uncle/great aunty martha may be rich, would this stop her entitlement to benefit when she is out of work and needs it, in your eyes?

Again, you're clutching at straws, and not providing arguments that are believable to many, or that address the circumstances surrounding Freddie's claims (his wealth, etc) and his laughing and 'pocket money' comments. It's very easy to make up scenarios.
