Ke$ha told the Calgary Herald: "I want to take enough time to make sure it's the reinvention of pop music. That's the ultimate goal, to reinvent pop music.

"So I'm planning on taking as much time as I need, but May sounds about right."

The 24-year-old teased that her future material will focus more on rock 'n' roll, rather than electronic pop which she has become known for.

"I definitely could see that happening in my future. With the evolution of my next record that I'm working on right now, and just meeting people like [Alice Cooper], and meeting Robert Plant — those are the people that I listen to," she said.

"If you were to ask me what my favourite song on pop radio is I can't really answer that because I don't really listen to it that much. I'm more well versed in old school, more rock 'n' roll because that's what I like listening to."

Ke$ha added: "So I wouldn't be surprised if my next record does have more of an edge."

The 'Tik Tok' performer recently told Digital Spy that her new record will document her "crazy experiences" touring the world.

Was hoping for some new material sooner :(

Idc how long she takes really, as long as it's good. I'd rather she took her time. she still has plenty of leaks I haven't even heard yet. :p

She doesnt need to hurry up and release it. We dont just want any old ****, we want something worth waiting for. Anyway it wasnt that long since she released Cannibal, so next May is a good time for her to release new stuff.

I suppose the longer she takes to record it, the better quality it will be so I like that she's taking her time with it but it just feels like there hasn't been a new Ke$ha single in ages. :(

I know what you mean, after Blow didn't do very well in the charts she just ended the Cannibal promotion really. I think she should have released at least one more single after that. Cannibal maybe? :laugh:

But I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next. :)

Yeah but I never really got into Blow. I mean Cannibal only came out late 2010 but meh I've got into so many other artists that I gave up caring about Ke$ha. I don't like that snippet either.

Don't like the sound of supernatural, the other snippets that are online are better imo

I thought this would be filled with Ke$ha bashing. Shocked so many people liked Animal when it came out. It took me about a year and a half to get in to Animal properly. Some of the fillers :bored:

I dont see anything special in that new song... She better not be lying about this 'new genre of music' :nono:
