Umm you are wrong. The Emancipation of Mimi, sold over 10 million records and E=MC2 sold a little under 3 million records. Do your research before spouting wrong info.[/rquote] Guess you are a die hard then, still did not answer my other question did you? And link to what you claim?[/rquote] Die hard fan? Hardly, I don't even really like her music. Here is where I got it from. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E%3DMC%...Carey_album%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Emancipation_of_Mimi My problem was. What does it matter who she hangs out with? I don't see how that can be a problem. Especially since you were proven wrong that she doesn't sell records. You are just spouting nonsense. |

[/rquote] I meant now she is known as a dodgy R n B wannabe who has beef with Eminem. She could have gone the other way and been decent. In the early days she didn't even show off her body that much. But someone must have told her sex sells, so she *****d herself out pretty well. She could have kept a modest look like Whitney, but no, she has to hang off the arm of rappers in videos plus appear half naked in all of hers. |
Mariah, when she dies, is going to be a legend.
Eminem, when he dies, is going to be a legend. I don't know why they both need to be so petty. Why does Eminem care so much that we all have to know that he had sex with Mariah? And why does she even bother responding? They should both just get over it. :nono: |
Eminem is much more off a legend the Mariah carey will ever be

[/rquote] Ah, but Mariah has been around since 1990 and you have to remember that during th 1990's she was MASSIVE almost universally with songs life "Honey", "without you", "Hero", "Heartbreaker" etc. I think things have cooled down cosiderably since then in terms of the love for mariah by the peeps of the world, but you can't forget how incredibly huge she was back then. |

But she still has her moments. I don't think Eminem is as big as he was when he was doing the Slim Shandy please stand up thing and Stan and all that either. I guess that is just what happens. |
Mariah was the biggest selling artist of the 1990's and is known for being 'the voice.' She also had THE biggest comeback of all time. I don't care what anyone says. The Emancipation of Mimi sent her back to the top. She had two #1 singles, one of which was the longest stay at #1 until the Black Eyed Peas this summer, two Grammy awards, numerous records broken and an album which sold more than 10 million in an age where thats almost impossible. She's still getting top ten singles worldwide today and of course, number one albums. So she doesn't sell 30 million copies of an album anymore, but who does these days?
Eminem is a big seller too, but there's no point in denying both have left their mark on music. It's tiring saying one is more of a legend than the other. |
