Cervello Elettronico - Process of Elimination

Album was sent to me as a gift by the person who did the album art. Unfortunately, I'm not really digging the music.

What music is it?

Photon 25-09-2010 03:19 PM

Powernoise type stuff, which I dig normally, but they've used too many voice samples and it's driving me berserk.

I just want to listen to the music, not hear some dude say "catastrophic" or "there's blood everywhere" over and over and over.

That's what pisses me off about industrial music. **** WITH THE VOICE SAMPLES. I CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THEM 'CAUSE MOST OF IT IS IN GERMAN! I don't even listen to that sh!t anymore.

Photon 25-09-2010 03:30 PM

A lot of the great musicians are already doing other stuff and have left the genre long ago. Converter was certainly one of the best, but announced a while ago that he was moving on to other things. Thankfully he wasn't really big on sampling very often, but would sometimes do so for atmospheric purposes.

Industrial is pretty stale these days. The only people who still listen to it are the rabid cybergoths with synth dreads.

Converter was alright.

Hmmmm who so I still listen to... *looks through iTunes*
Oh C/A/T, ohGr and Arzt+Pfusch. The only albums I still have.

Photon 25-09-2010 06:03 PM

Converter was awesome, hush.

<3 Arzt+Pfusch. However, I preferred when they had some of the pre-release versions of their songs without the lyrics. They've also done some pretty fancy remixes.

BB_Eye 25-09-2010 08:38 PM

You guys are into some obscure stuff. Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and Severed Heads is about as far as I've gone with industrial music. TG's last album was more dark ambient than anything else though.
