Oh well, you're only 14 so I don't expect you to understand anything intellectually deeper than Gossip Girl and Jedward.
You'll understand as you grow up.

I have a feeling i will get very fat soon. I eat like a beast because i know i can and i have a super fast immune system... and it will come back to bite me in the arse!!

So in a few years i would admit to it being because i thought i would never put the weight out, but as you get older, and hit your 20s, your likely to pile the pounds on.

It starts at about 21 or 22. That's when you have to be more careful about your eating and general living habits cuz yes, it does have a tendency to bite you in the arse.

You know exactly what I meant.
Like InOne said, it's not honest, it's cruel. But I'll leave you to that, you'll understand deeper things one day.

Im 8 stone, most of my mates are about 9-10 stone and are the same age as me (17). I WANT to put on weight, but I cant, not at the moment, and I dont get why. But if i was to put on weight i would want it to be slowly over the next 2 years. I dont want it to bite me in the arse, get up one morning and be considered a slob.:( I dont even exercise much, yes I walk to the station everyday (about 20 mins walk) thats it though.

If i did football/rugby like my friends, i would weigh even less.

It's not honest though is it, saying you don't like fat people walking down the street? I mean who in their right mind says that?

Well you can always really judge it from your parents and their siblings. What weight are they? It's usually a good indication as to how you'll fare.

GhettoSuperstar 14-01-2010 06:12 PM

Firstly, well done to Twilight, keep it up girl!

And secondly, I don't like to criticise larger people because I don't like when people tell me to eat more or interrogate me for being teeny. It's their body, they can do what they like - but just know that there isn't always going to be a helping hand.

Football yes, Rugby definitely not. You would have gained muscular weight, not fat tho.

Fat people repulse me but then I've always been athletic

Seconded. As my story testifies, you can be fat without gorging yourself, and you can be slim whilst pigging yourself out.

Repulse you? Bit strong isn't it??

andyman 14-01-2010 07:02 PM

No, just why would you let yourself get fat? Why don't people just look after themselves and watch what they eat? Its so easy to not get fat, and then they moan when they're fat anyway as though its someone elses fault

How did they get overweight in the first place?

Because of psychological issues and some genes effect ? You do not become obese because you want to, you become obese without realizing you are. It's a body image issue. Food is the only place you feel good. It's a vicious circle.

The 'fat gene' only makes you vulnerable to be overweight, it doesn't mean you will be overweight so obviously a good balance is needed there. As for psychological issues, well fair enough but if you don't want to be obese then you'll replace the 'addiction' with another one.

But generally you don't know you have the "fat" gene until you are fat and a doctor tells you you have it otherwise of course you need a good balance.
Nobody wants to be obese, it's ridiculous. Like I said, it's an addiction like another, you can't just replace it because you want to. It's all very complicated in your mind but simple at the same time.

50% of people carry the fat gene, why isn't half of the country obese? Go figure.

Look into it, many studies have been done over 40 years.
Some do eat too much of the wrong food while being inactive, but its not the same for all.. Same with some slim people that can't gain weight while other could easy put weight on if they wanted..
Go seek the facts because sometimes that thought in your head is not always right..

I'm hungeeee :(
