Or better still - have a thread for them - then that way people who don't want to participate or view that sort of humour - dont have to. I'd be content with that, as I'm sure others would be.

I never said they agreed with me. That's not the point. But the arguing thing is a seperate matter, I'm not really fussed about that.

Because whether you like it or not - young kids come on this forum - admin have a responsibilty to monitor what they are exposed to. What is wrong with
U2U - surely that is what they are for - private conversations and jokes!

If you feel that your personal arguement has still got more steam then continue it via PM. But when 2 people get into an endless slanging match it rapidly becomes useless to the rest of the forum and more about their egos. And destroys the thread topic.

However, Im sure some threads have been locked unnecessarily. Mods are human. They make bad calls sometimes.

Okay, I see what you mean now, and I agree.

As Stu and others have mentioned many, many times, the purpose of this forum is for discussion of BIG BROTHER, a show aimed at adults, with adult content. Surely, then, on this forum - you would expect to see discussion of adult content, and that is the case. There are many threads with discussion of sex and nudity in them, and they are not deleted. Or is it alright for kids to see them, and not jokes, which I doubt many of them would understand anyway?

Personally, not interested in Stu's opinion - but although it is a bb forum, which as you say, does contain adult content - there have to be limits. Your idea of limits may not agree with admins - but that has to be at their discretion - not ours!

It's a valid opinion, nonetheless.

Yeah, there has to be limits. But text based jokes with serious worldwide events linked to them, which I'm confident many children wouldn't understand, compared to links + pictures of BB housemates etc topless are very different. An average child would not know who Josef Fritzl is, but they would know, and would see a picture of a topless woman.

Of course that's the case. But the idea of this argument is that I, and others, are arguing against it. It might not change things, but we're still entitled to express our opinions on it, and quite frankly, it seems a little silly to allow the things that I have mentioned, whilst censoring the other things that I have mentioned, as well as censoring words such as 'sh!t' and not 'wank', where is the logic in that?

andybigbro 15-02-2010 11:19 PM

If I'm honest, Imiss the days when mods such as Amy, Busybee, Mike, Red Moon, Di, ROB etc

Princess 15-02-2010 11:21 PM

I do miss the old mods. I'm sure Di was a Take That fan.

Jack_ 15-02-2010 11:22 PM

I miss Lauren. You could learn so much from her :(

Jessica. 15-02-2010 11:22 PM

Don't they censor the 'w' word - they should! Agree - no logic in that!

They shouldn't censor any words really. We still read it as 'wank' without the asterixes or not. So there's no point whatsoever.

Is she? I've not seen her Twitter. To be honest, I don't think I really spoke to her much, wasn't very active in the Non-BB section, but I still learnt a lot from just reading her posts nevertheless.

Do you know why she left?

Vicky. 15-02-2010 11:36 PM

It doesnt make a difference to me.

Never cared much about being liked in the first place...but if someone dislikes me for what I do...let them get on with it. Its their problem, not mine :)

Smithy 15-02-2010 11:37 PM

I've always liked you Vicky.

I can remember when you were still just a member back in BB10, chatting with the night owls like me, Steph and Jayson. I miss the summer. :(

Vicky. 15-02-2010 11:41 PM

And PMSL.

Just seen my 'deleted' hate thread

'From now on don't, edit, remove, censor, tamper with, move, delete, virtually molest or quote any of my posts or threads.'

Yes sir... :D
