Im sorry

But there is still interest in the show.

It was front page news daily for cbb7 (and not just the s h i t t y Daily Star) lol

I simply do not agree with people coming into the forum and labelling us pathetic for liking a tv show.

And noone could possibly know if another channel will pick it up so when people are saying ITS NOT GONNA GET PICKED UP like its fact then those people look like the idiots

Beastie 06-06-2010 04:33 PM

I think we just need to enjoy bb11 first.. than belly aching over whether it will be picked up for next year!!

And for future reference can you please remember how to use "inverted commas" correctly.

:)

I'm sorry, could you not understand what I wrote? Or are you just being a pedantic, argumentative twat?

apology accepted btw xo.

daniel-lewis-1985 06-06-2010 04:34 PM

And BBC will usually allways win with a prime time show over Channel 4 thats just how it is

daniel-lewis-1985 06-06-2010 04:46 PM

I just have to say one last thing.

The people saying that BB may get picked up by another channell are simply speculating.

The people disagreeing are speaking as if its FACT that it wont be picked up

Joe. 06-06-2010 04:54 PM

I love junior apprentice however I'll be watching BB as that's where my loyalties lie. I'll sky+ JA.

Because it basically is, if none of the major broadcasters are going for it then It'll hardly go to a digital channel as they won't be able to afford it. Even the idea of a potential Endemol owned C5 revival is unlikely due to the fact they relied on the backing of the C4 deal to finance it. Even if they owned C5 could they really afford to pay for a proper series of BB? Because chances are sponsorship deals won't cut it. Product placement could help but it's largely not allowed on UK TV (although that's changing I think).

It's less of a fact and more of a very educated opinion. Like I said before though, enjoy this series for what it is. I will be. You never know a few years rest might do a lot of good for the show.

daniel-lewis-1985 06-06-2010 05:05 PM

You just said it yourself!

Its not a fact.

There is no such thing as basically a fact. Its fact or fiction! Theres no in between

FACT

Braden 06-06-2010 05:10 PM

At the end of the day, Big Brother are only interested in making the viewers who really want to watch the show. They probably don't care about how many viewers they get, considering it's the last one.

Mac Hiavellian 06-06-2010 05:11 PM

It's being labelled the 'last ever' Big Brother for the publicity. It's not definately the final series EVER nor is it definately getting picked up. We should just treat it as the final edition on Ch4 with the POSSIBILITY it'll be the last ever

Who knows? Perhaps Five will pick up CBB and after that, a BB12?
Channel 4's 'creative renewal' could suffer so in 2012 or after they could bring back BB?
It could be in a year's time or 10?

No one knows for definate.

Glenn. 06-06-2010 05:29 PM

Well I know what I will be watching and it certainly won't be Junior Apprentice:thumbs:

patrick your really getting on my nerves with your anti negative ****, its the last series of one of the best shows on tv, so i will be as negative as i want

daniel-lewis-1985 06-06-2010 05:53 PM

Hes getting on your nerves with his "anti negaitive" attitude?!

Its better than being f u ck i n g negative and putting a downer on everything!

Stop being so miserable and enjoy!

rm212 06-06-2010 05:55 PM

ok, listen, the bb fans who think BB may be picked up are in their rights to do so, they have a right to an opinion and I can understand why they think so. So far, with the house and 24/7 feed producers are trying hard to boost ratings and I'm sure ratings will inflate !

The people who are arguing it will not come back, that is you opinion too but I have noticed its nearly completely you that are making insulting comments !

The positive people have not made too many insults, they are only replying back to what the negative users are saying ... so, I think this insulting should be cut out because everyone in entitled to an opinion !

(When I say positive/negative I mean positive/negative towards revival)

thats what im saying duh! lets enjoy the series for what it is and not give a **** about ratings and press coverage

daniel-lewis-1985 06-06-2010 05:59 PM

But we want the final BB to be massive! How awesome would it be to see BB top of the ratings one last time!

As bb fans obviously we want the show to be popular. its like football fans wanting their team to win.

but what i am trying to say is that ratings dont reflect the quality of a show, so they dont matter all that matters is that this is a really really good series i dont give a **** if it isnt popular or doesnt get watched by many people, their loss imo

Ideally, I think fans want a bit of both. A quality series that's also popular with the press and so gets a better reception. Look at BB5, 6 and 7, all had the odd criticisms but were generally liked.

ButterflyGirl 06-06-2010 07:03 PM

FACT

Well it's a fact that all the major and able channels have turned it down and it's a fact that at least for now this is the final BB on C4.

Do I need to break it down even more? As things stand it hasn't a hope in hell unless Endemol buys C5 and can support a full BB series. Which isn't likely.

All I'm hoping for is a decent final series and that it doesn't follow the example of BB10. Enjoy it for what it is people.

But that wasn't cancelled in the last ten years, that was more of a revival rather then a pick up. The only example I can think of are Futurama and Family Guy but they're both american examples and don't apply to UK Broadcasters.

None of the major channels would be interested in jumping on the BB wagon at this point. It's past it's glory days and is considered a dying brand. Plus it costs too much and requires huge time slots. No chance.

Sky would be the only realistic option. But their track record on reviving old shows is pretty dire and I just don't think they'd bother with this. It certainly wouldn't be the same. Maybe in a few years when its going cheap and nostalgia sets in.
