Fantastic for a disappointing episode!

I've really enjoyed this season, it's had amazing players. Matt, Rachel, Britney and Brendon have all provided lots of entertainment and I also really like Lane and Kathy made me laugh a lot. The Saboteur was a complete failure, to the highest degree, but I think the competitions have been fun this season and the game plan has been the most interesting in years.

Chilltown 28-08-2010 04:06 AM

To each his own, I suppose. I found this season to be the most disappointing in a while. I despise BB10 and even BB9 to an extent and found those both to be better seasons this one. A lot of casual and internet fans alike haven't been fond of this season either. The casting really hasn't been up to par.

They hit casting gold by casting average people last season and BB11 is probably the 2nd Most Popular Season of All Time and then they took a big step in the wrong direction with this cast sacrificing personalities for hard-bodies solely. :\ They did cast more hardcore fans but as they say, too many cook's spoil the broth.

At least the fantastic ratings will ensure BB13 coming soon! :)

Macie Lightfoot 28-08-2010 05:34 AM

Well at least we're just about guaranteed that next summer will be better.

BBfanUSA 28-08-2010 08:57 PM

I'm really pleased the ratings have gotten higher this year, This guarantees a BB13 at least.
I never thought back when i started with the phenomenon that is Big Brother in 2002, that the US version would have outlived the UK version.
I'm happy that the ratings show in USA that the format of BB is still fresh in peoples minds, I often wonder if another channel in the UK picked up the US format of the game w/HOH/POV, What ratings it would get?

It might be high depending on weither BB Fans Enjoy the new format and when people heard that they are allowing noms to be discussed that could attract new fans as it would be a controversial subject i suggest showing the american version first on a major channel just as an expirement.

and there will be old bb fans alienated by the new format

I know that E4 aired BB9 back in Feb-Apr 2008 when there was no UK BB on, does anyone in the UK know what the reaction was?

BBfanUSA 01-09-2010 10:34 PM

was very low but i think they kept moving the episodes around

I don't see how. :conf: According to CBS Polls, Bredon/Ragan were the two fan faves of the season. Brendon left, ratings dropped a bit and this is Ragan's boot. Plus there's a football game on so there are delays galore and it's also shifted to other networks.

Macie Lightfoot 03-09-2010 01:30 AM

Yeah, the show's airing where I live at 1:37 AM.

BBfanUSA 03-09-2010 01:36 AM

it's happened b4

Incorrect. That was mangled a bit because of the football game. It actually got around 6.5 million viewers.

I've always wanted to know why do the crowd cheer so madly on evictions - there's always one person who will scream violenty as if they are in distress. Why do they do that after every commercial break?

they're mostly tourists, that just want to be on a Tv taping in LA. half of them are german tourists. they just cheer when the producers light up the "applause" sign. Some can be a little overly enthusiastic. :P lol

They are justh aving fun getting to see a Tv show being taped, most of them don't know anything about the show. most of them go back and watch the cheap porn being made next door at their cheap motels in north hollywood afterwards lol

BBfanUSA 04-09-2010 02:46 PM

I thought that Ragan got booed by someone in the crowd if there was a true bb fan in the crowd they would of gave the hg the proper reaction (Ie Rachel would be leaving to boos) But there is some true bb fans in the crowd like last season when Nat won HOH no one applauded and one person went like aw crap

actually it was 7.7 mil even with 50% nation preemptied with American Football

Chilltown 04-09-2010 05:23 PM

They try to 'cheer the houseguests up' after being evicted by having non-stop applause for evictions. Even vile creatures like Natalie would be cheered. I guess it's the whole thing, after being backstabbed by at least the majority of the house, being hated by the public could also cause a bit of a mental meltdown.
