I lost my Mam 2 years ago too.

How is going up to someone in the street and praying for them 'preying' on them? I don't get your logic. What's the worst that can happen, they walk off as ill as they were before thinking who was that weirdo. The best that can happen is they get healed and know that Jesus died for them.

What a load of codswallop.

anyway you can collect St. Dave on Friday night down Elstree way, remember to bring his Jesus Juice.

At least you're getting loads of free publicity for that DVD box set you are advertising in your sig.

Bullsh*t

He CLAIMS he can CURE THEM, he doesn't just pray for them, that is the BIG difference...

And "the best that can happen is they get healed" Stop talking bo**ocks mate, it is not possible to cure someone simply by praying for them...

And I'm sure most people couldn't give two hoots about the mythical character Jesus, from that bestselling novel "The Bible"... :xyxwave:

I don't think you or anyone else can say what Dave does or doesn't believe in his heart. Everyone who is religious has faith that is not open for negotiation and, like you say, nothing can convince them otherwise. That's their choice.

I intended to multi-quote and so just went with it. David might be one of the greatest actors on the planet,
but,
even worse I think it becomes quite clear he definitely believes in this 'charismania ecstasy' business.

People who think he is acting or faking this.. .. I think that might seem more plausible if you only knew about him and this stuff from BB highlights.

Nobody can cure the sick with magic powers. Anyone who thinks that is seriously deluded.

I'm sorry for your loss, i lost mine in jan 2008 :(

i'm sorry, but jesus did not die for me, NO WAY...he died for his own sins, not mine. Plenty of people have died for (and because of) him and his followers though. I can be loving and forgiving without jesus and without the collection of nutty books that is the bible.

Magic is not 'supernatural' but 'natural. In fact, a clever surgeon may be able to use some props, hand manipulation and 'trick the body' into a cure for some ailment.
We can call this sort of manipulation and trickery using natural forces and things as "Magic Powers".

Now 'supernatural' power is something that may or may not be able to heal sickness or cure disease.
Do we see this happening today?
I've never seen it. Some are interesting or make me want to know more but I've never seen it.

You haven't either (that you know of) but you have ABSOLUTELY NO WAY of asserting it could not happen.
Nothing.
Like a thousand other things you have never seen may very well have happened or exist.
Surely millions of things.

We can, but we don't. We refer to that sort of manipulation and "trickery" using natural forces "medicine" or "science".

Which is exactly why it's so stupid to subscribe to just a few unfalsifiable concepts (UFOs, a creator of the universe) when there's a nearly infinite amount of concepts we could subscribe to if our only rationale was we can't disprove all possibilities in space and time. That's why you need some kind of positive, objective evidence before considering an extraordinary claim true..."I have no evidence he committed the crime, but you have ABSOLUTELY NO WAY of asserting it could not have happened. LOCK HIM UP!" :joker:

You can dance around it as much as you want, fact is, Christianity is a joke.
