Oh come on, stop taking everything so seriously and analyzing it. You're from Belfast so clearly you have a problem.

It was obviously a tongue-in-cheek remark.

crocs 02-09-2010 02:49 PM

Wow, never thought that kind of a remark, a joke, would cause all this. I joke about my nationality and my sexuality. And Brian was joking as well. He jokes about everything.

blackparade 02-09-2010 02:53 PM

He was quiet clearly joking!

Omen 02-09-2010 02:58 PM

It was lame. He talks before engaging his brain.

stonedape 02-09-2010 02:58 PM

It was a joke, and it was funny. I think Ben and Brian were the only ones capable of shutting the ToT up :joker:

you may not have thought it was funny and that's fine, but do you really think he seriously meant that he thinks people should be nicer to him than other people because he's Irish and gay?

rosieb 02-09-2010 03:01 PM

I don't think there is any need to defend Brian as it is quite obvious that he was joking! However perhaps we all should "please be nice to Karezza" as it is quite obvious that a sick saddo like that needs all the help he can get!

I'm not deluded to think his every utterence is hilarious. That was just lame. I'm Irish and I felt embarrssed.

You didn't answer what i asked though, I didn't ask you where you were from or whether you thought he was funny, I asked Do you think he was being serious and thinks people should be nicer to him because he's Irish and gay

Yes he is upseting people on the forum. So he is Northern Irish. If he was being nice to everyone he would be Irish. Thats the way it works is it not

So? It wasn't funny and it wasn't serious. It was pointless then. Unless he thought it was funny.

No, that's not what I meant at all. You're putting words in my mouth. I meant, going by alot of what he posts, he comes across as not liking Irish people very much, he posts alot of threads about how evil Catholics are etc.

So - that is what the thread is about whether he meant it or not.

If Brian meant it, is he implying the Irish are some sort of special case? It was a little too cute for my liking. That's Brian in a nutshell.

Patricia4 02-09-2010 03:20 PM

I never took notice of what he said I just thought it was a joke.

In fairness, all catholics are not Irish. Maybe he has a bad experience with catholism, doesnt mean he doesnt like Irish.

well first of all I wasn't a mod when he/she started those threads and secondly he/she hasn't said anything worthy of ban today. We're just having a discussion with differing opinions:hugesmile:

He was really making fun of the people who imply the Irish or gays are some sort of special case. "Don't be a homophobe.", making fun of people who always play that card.

I know, it's just the impression I get as it's Irish Catholics he/she usually refers to but he doesn't directly answer the question so I can't be sure either way
