After downloading driver mender, you probably have some sort of virus. That is one dodgy website. And in your webcam options/preferences it'll probably tell you there where your pictures are saved to.

I'm all out of advice.

i dont know whether i need to use my CD to install it or if my pictures r actually somewhere

MM&I you realise that when you take photos on a webcam thats not installed properly, the photos could end up going out to all the people who have an email address recorded on your computer?


There are a couple of things you could do, find the box etc your computer came in wrap it back up and include everything that came with it then take it back to wherever you bought it and tell them you want your money back, if they ask why you are returning it, just tell them you are too stupid you own one, they will understand. Honest.

Try cleaning the lens of the dvd reader using a decent cd/dvd cleaner.

If you have updated the driver recently and the problem is since then rollback to tha last decent driver you had for it( rollback is a function of the sytem manager - go find it)
