Good on you for what you did; I doubt the repercussions (if there are even any) will be serious, there are plenty of witnesses who will be able to verify that you were acting in self defense so I really don't think there's anything that you can get into trouble over! How did your parents react?

Agree 100%,
Just because the other guy came off worse doesn't make him the victim,If he went for you first then you had every right to defend yourself. If you had let it slide then this idiot would have carried on .You may in fact have done him a favour and thought him a lesson.

LOL!

I don't really think you shoulda resulted to that though.

Or were they physically violent to you? And I can't remember because I read the story yesterday and I can't be bothered to read it again.

I think the people who are saying we shouldn't praise Patrick for acting against this a-whole don't really understand the situation.

Bullies never stop unless you teach them a lesson, and sure you can ignore them (which is what I do) but Patrick seems like his temper aint all that good. Maybe Patrick's reaction was a little extreme sure, but this guy was going on at him for 2 years (he said).

And before anyone gives me that 'you should tell the school' sh!t, the school ALWAYS does fuck all to help students. Everyone who has been bullied knows that well.

The more you react to things though, surely the more they'll bully you to get a reaction like.

MeMyselfAndI 29-09-2010 04:54 PM

no as patrick scared away the bully and has probably put a stop to it.

True. That is the other way of taking it, which is what I do. I was just seeing it from Patrick's point of view. I try never to use violence because I am sh!te at fighting lol.

______________-

There is also a way of self defence. If Patrick can split this boy's head open then I'm sure he could have restrained him or twisted back his arm etc, not split his head open and need an ambulance.
