I think its horrifying to think that any scum can have a precious child and have full control of it behind closed doors. God knows how many kids and babies are being badly treated in their own homes, a place they should feel safe.

And its always the worst and most inadequate ones who churn out the most kids. Wish there was a way of preventing certain women from getting pregnant.

It disgusts me that the mother is allowed to have custody of her son back afterwards, what's to stop her doing it again or something worse next time?

Yeah, to me a mother who would do something like this for her own "amusement" is lacking any maternal instinct and that feeling that most parents have, to protect their child. I don't think this is something that can be taught to a person if you don't automatically have it and I would worry about that child being back with her.

The problem is that the care system in most countries is such a massive fail and abuse is such a widespread problem in adoptive families, it means even children with terrible parents are often better off staying where they are.

Unfortunately not better off for society as a whole, who have to suffer the consequences when some (if not all) abused and neglected children grow into angry, hostile and feral adults.

'Offence'? LOL, it didn't offend me in the slightest - because I know it's not true. So because I have a dark sense of humour, I am now wired differently? Biggest load of bollocks I have ever heard. The James Bulger story sickened me, as did the Fritzl one. Looking at the pictures of this makes me upset as well...but I can take a joke. A joke is a joke...meaning they're not serious...and are to be laughed at. It doesn't mean you're 'wired differently' at all. Utterly ridiculous statement.

Of course, pal, because the only jokes I ever tell people are ones that I have read off Sickipedia. Thankfully most people I know accept that a joke is a joke, and also find them funny. So no, I am the type of guy that would tell jokes like this in real life. A joke is a joke.
