sigh. Thanks everyone. The doctor says it is nothing to worry about. It will go away in due time and was probably caused by stress and that I should return in 2 weeks.

I decided to register somewhere else to check again.

I completely understand you wanting a second opinion, but it's good that he said it was nothing to worry about. I'm sure even the worst doc would know if it was worth investigating further. My sis found a lump and her gp sent her to the hospital there and then. Thanfully it was just a cyst...

Is yours still itchy?

Still itchy yeah.Even though he seemed certain it was nothing to worry about I still want to be sure. Last year there was a cyst in my ovaries (nothing to worry about but I was at the time) and eversince then I worry about every little lump.

I know what you mean, I had a brain tumour about 10 years ago - benign - it was fine but I think after that its easy to 'imagine' bumps and lumps or imagine them to be worse than they are. If something is worrying you, just get it checked out 9 times out of 10 its fine and you wont have to worry anymore. Dont let it become a monster in your mind.
