i think the bottom of the votes is automatically eliminated and then 2nd and 3rd from bottom will be in the sing off.

Exactly. Her audition was an exact copy of an Internet video and Stay and Imagine? She murdered two great songs. :nono: Tortured them slowly, pulled out their fingernails and murdered them - oh, and cried every time she couldn't reac a note:joker: Oh......how I laughed.....

The sad thing, I think, is that she probably will have a career because there will always be the tone deaf and the simply selectively deaf who will always opt for (cheap and common) style over substance.

As already mentioned....isnt it just the public vote this week?

Actually, you are right in a small way. I loved, absolutely loved seeing her being placed in the bottom two last week.

So from that angle, yes, I loved her being put in her place and being brought down a peg or two. She's not as good a singer or entertainer as she believe she is - othewise the public would not have placed her in the sing off. That is the heart of the matter.

I wouldn't find Cher so annoying if she showed a little humility.

yes that is Cher saying she didn't think she did too well in her performance and she feels sorry for Cheryl. Is that humble enough for you?

Dr.Gonzo 28-11-2010 02:32 PM

Fair point, Jords. I'll accept that. It would be nice to see it on the show, but I'll accept that. Thanks, bud.

They are about on a par, in terms of actual talent, with Cher - but they were infinitely more modest, likeable, well brought up and well presented. They won people around with their lovely manners and easy smiles. My children, who are all under 9, love Jedward, and whoever they love, I love :elephant:
They can't stand Cher, thank God, and wonder, regularly, why she always looks so cross and why she think she's so great!!!

How right you are - Cher often does have a heavy frown on her face - not what you'd expect from a young teenager who is currently 'living the dream'. But she has a reputation as being a bit of a brat, so it doesn't actually surprise me. It's hard to throw sulky teenage strops and tantrum with a smile on your face! :joker:

No she doesn't often have a frown on her face. :S

And if you listened to Simons comments the other week he said she has been a delight in person. I think he'd know.

Thing is: I'm more than aware that Simon has a vested interest, he's backing up his sidekick Cole - he's got to prevent him being left with egg all over his face - so of course he's going to try to generate some positive publicity on her - he has to, as it's the only source of good publicity she gets. The press pretty much have a very low opinion of Cher too, as do her Xfactor housemates. There's no smoke without fire.

I've seen you make the odd post on Rebecca and Matt, not seen any others, they're all on Cher what I've seen.

Anyone who finds my posts boring have that wonderful facility known as the ignore feature that they can utilise. ;)

As it is, while Cher remains on XFactor, and while the show is still being shown, I'll post on her when I feel I want to.

As for my 'odd post' here and there, you followed me around the forum last night and into the early hours of this morning, like a puppy dog, so you'll know that I venture outwith the XFactor - and quite often. !

She was pretty weak last night, like, her Girlfriend performance - I was impressed with her rapping, but thought the backing track totally drowned her out and it was very shouty and tame; then her Walk This Way just felt like the exact same performance being continued into a new song and again, the backing track muffled her. I think she'll probably be safe because her fans will be going into overdrive, but then again it's a double elimination so they're going to have to vote more than they have done before to ensure she's safe. I'm thinking Mary and Katie are going home, if there is a sing off between 5th and 6th then I think it could be Mary v Cher. :/

I see with my own eyes, and watch what a little brat Cher is. I mean, come on, her idol is Cheryl Cole, a woman who is well known for punching a toilet attendant in the face. It's not hard to see why Cheryl 'sees so much of Cher when she was her age' in her! :spin:

Well tbf Simon knows every detail about what goes on so yes you probably should believe him over silly tabloids that twist peoples words.

I dont think Cher has ever said Cheryl is her idol tbh, obviously she looks up to her because Cheryl has been in the same situation as her. About that whole incident with the toilet attentdent it was almost 8 years ago so you really are just clutching at whatever reasons you can find now. Are people not allowed to make a silly mistake and then move on and grow up, Cheryl apologized went through with her punishment and got over it, maybe you should.

so i dont think chavryl has grown up that much.

None of the judges appreciate their acts getting criticised its not just Cheryl.

yes but the other judges dont look like there gonna kill somebody when there act gets critised.

Cheryl's bringing out the worst in Cher.. Cher's her own person she's not Cheryl Mk2 I hope she maintains a bit more distance..

Cher never assaulted anyone as far as we know, it's not fair she should be blamed for things her mentor did!

but thats another reason to get rid of the chav,as you have got to be able to critise all acts if they make a mistake without chavryl looking like shes going to kill them.

fruit_cake 28-11-2010 04:23 PM

seems to me like Cheryl got bored of playing Simon says and made it into Cheryl says lol
