Russell Howard. Used to think he was OK but he's tiresome now

He's terrible for joke stealing. Most of his act is nicked from panel shows he's been on.

Meh, it was just my chosen word for that sentence. I could have just as easily used 'constantly references' in place of 'exploits'.

Tina Fey is currently one of the funniest people on the planet.

Dont like...
Peter Kay (write some new jokes. stop going on about garlic breed and the 'tinternet')
Jack Whitehall (No, no... not funny just please stop)
James Corden (Gavin and Stacey was his peak)
oh and Jim Davidson and Chubby Brown.

Completely agree. An immature brat. Tries to act cool as anything, yet speaks like he's related to the Queen. Trying to hide that he's a posh boy with silver spoon. Plus he's a crackhead.

I liked some of his stand up shows, but I agree he needs to come up with new material. How long's he been doing the "Geraldine" gig now? Move on Peter.

I think Mean Girls is probably the finest example of that. She's brilliant.

I love Jack Whitehall, he's amazing :amazed:

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 10-04-2011 01:51 PM

russel brand is just so not funny!! My mouth is always curved with a smile in anticipation for laughter but it never comes. His "jokes" are dry. He must have this success because he's good looking and has the right connections.

I like russell howard. I don't know who else I like.
That old one on the bbc2 show. he presents where 6 comedians do sketches. His facial expressions and eyes alone are comedy.

Tom4784 10-04-2011 02:12 PM

Dave Christmas? - not sure on the name but I can't watch anything he's on. He's criminally unfunny.
Jack Whitehall
Patrick Kielty
Jo Brand
Russell Kane

There's some others I'm forgetting.

I think Russell Brand is successful in spite of his looks.

I'm going to be a real Jo Brand evangelist here and implore people to give her a chance. She has a such a cynical (ergo true) view of modern life, but she is never cold or aloof about it. Plus she was great in Getting On.

I've actually warmed to Jo Brand recently.. Seen her on a few things and she is intelligent and witty. :)

She's also incredibly humble. The stuff she does for people is amazing yet she dies with embarrassment if anyone mentions it. She said her biggest problem in life is she cannot say no to people asking for help. She seriously puts herself out yet thank her and she waves it off and quickly changes the subject. She can't abide it being talked about :)

that's a matter of opinion I suppose, personally, I find him hilarious

watching C4's Comedy Gala atm and there's so many candidates for this :bored: since when was becoming a comedian as easy as having an accent?

I love her as an actress but I think too often (at least on television anyway) she falls back on "I'm fat / old / grumpy" jokes.
edit: oops, covered this on page 3 :p

King Gizzard 19-05-2011 09:59 PM

Jack Whitehall.

Others I can't stand (shaun cover your eyes)

The guys that do Peep Show, the guy who created Psychoville and Benidorm, Ricky Gervais (although I like Carl and Stephen), Russel Kane (Brand wanna be and its not even because of the name) Your typical northern comedians like Paddy McGuiness

Probably think of some more later..

Chuck 19-05-2011 10:03 PM

Chelsea Handler. She is just predictable and arrogant.

Don't tell me you don't like Peep Show. I just can't accept that. No way. The sketch show I can get over but ... Jesus. Peep Show has been consistent gold from the start to it's current point .
