Ok I've just watched it back
Paddy 'I'm not interested in that **** talk'
Bobby 'What **** talk?'
Paddy 'Ok, are we coming off now, are me and you coming on to something here, cos if we are let's just say we're coming on to something here'
Bobby 'Paddy, I'm not coming on I'm talking to you, but don't mumble stuff after.......I'm not ****ing with you.....'
Paddy sits up and hovers over Bobby, raises his voice 'Who's mumbling?'
Bobby 'What'?
Paddy (voice raised) 'Who's mumbling, I don't mumble'
Bobby 'No, I'm saying, if we're saying stuff to each other, we're saying it to each other, none of that........I've got so much time for you, I'm not ****ing you around'
Paddy then accepted and sat back again.
Bobby's voice did not change, was never aggressive he remained reclined in his chair. Paddy sat up, sat directly over Bobby, raised his voice.....
Aggressive behaviour......

Ammi 02-09-2011 12:15 PM

Just to add, I'm not a Bobby fan since sweatgate, but that doesn't matter because this is about facts not favourites

Paddy sat on the edge of his own sunbed.I didn't see him directly over Bobby.
"I'm not ****ing with you....." Could be taken two ways.

You've done the same as me,very aggressive behaviour. I would personally in Bobby's place have found Paddy wery threatening and intimidating, 2 things that have no place in the BB house.

Watching it again, I feel Bobby handled it really well, also Bobby was in the right.Paddy got very insulting as to the twins and Bobby who because he likes them stuck up for them and contested Paddy's view as to his even having a drink with them.
It seems in Paddy's world only people who agree with him are relevant, that would be sad world to be in.

Talking around today, Paddy's lost a fair few people who admired him up to that point.
I am very disappointed in Paddy's behaviour there.

Zippy 02-09-2011 12:26 PM

LOL @ people refusing to believe Paddy could possibly be aggressive. Do you have a clue about this guys background?

It's a shame you don't have a reply like that to those talking about how much they like Jedward. :p
But yeah, Paddy did seem aggressive last night in that situation. I never have liked Bobby but I thought he was good last night.

Bobby never moved though, Paddy got confrontational and he moved nearer to Bobby's space, Bobby made no move to his.
That is intimidating and threatening at the very least.

If I am debating with someone and we are sitting down, were we to disagree and I then moved to get up and go closer to them,I would then be challenging rather than debating.Paddy moved to Bobby, that's threatening behaviour.

Livia 02-09-2011 12:32 PM

I've rarely seen such a fuss over someone sitting up, no voices raised, no punches thrown and a handshake.

Would that have been the case if they were outside the house?

Josy 02-09-2011 12:36 PM

Lets be honest here, Bobby was in no way innocent throughout the conversation, he was confrontational and resorted to personally insulting Paddy with the mumbling comment, he also referred to him as a sausage after pulling Paddy up last week for saying the exact same thing to Jedward.

Bobby thinks he's playing a clever game, being all friendly with Jedward because he knows they will be popular, but his incident with Darryn shows exactly what kind of nature he has IMO.

Zippy 02-09-2011 12:39 PM

I love how BB debates always have to be about one HM being the good guy and the other the bad guy. Why can't they just both be twats?

I know, ridiculous isnt it :joker:

Plus have people forgotten earlier in the show when Paddy called Jedward sausages, it was only a joke anyway but Bobby seemed really offended and have Paddy a long lecture on it, Paddy didnt get angry or anything he just took on board what Bobby said, apologised to the twins and shook hands.

Edit - and as Josy has said above Bobby called Paddy a sausage last night; he was obviously trying to wind him up

Yeah Paddy's has a bit of a rough background, been in plenty of fights etc. but he's at least big enough to admit that he made a lot of mistakes in his life and he regrets a lot of what he has done. Although two of his biggest critics here, Zippy and Suze, dont actually watch the show so wouldnt even have seen that

What difference would that have made? The only difference as far as I can see is that we wouldn't have had a thread full of people getting upset over, like I said before, an exchange of words and a handshake.

joeysteele 02-09-2011 12:43 PM

Paddy calls everyone doing something he doesn't like sausages, only in response to Paddy saying that he thought Kerry should win it, even though he couldn't even remember her name, did Bobby answer with he thought Jedward and then it was Paddy who began the confrontation.
Bobby didn't criticise Paddy's choice, Bobby just stated his choice and I would have defended the one in the right no matter who they said they wanted to win., (just in case I am dismissed again as an idiotic Jedward supporter as I am usually am).

It's a club I am happy to be in with you then Suze, I don't think it right or fair anyone should be personally ridiculed or insulted or even be allowed to be, just because they like someone and go to certain concerts that someone else doesn't or wouldn't.

Would you say the same about Jedward trashing the house then cleaning up after themselves.

It's pretty much falls under the same category as arguing then shaking hands after to me.

and because I missed him utter a couple of (probably insincere) lines about him regretting his past that makes all the difference. His whole mentality seems to have been steeped in savage brutality his whole life so I find it very hard to believe he's had some sudden enlightenment about what a bad boy he's been. More likely he's now just too old to cut it. Or just BSing for TV like he has done before apparently. And his latest court case is very recent so..

And I suppose you're another one who wants to sweep his sexism and homophobia under the carpet becuase it suits? Yeah, like I said before about people adjusting their moral compass.

You can't stop people thinking and feeling. I've not heard him be sexist or homophobic in an aggressive way. If he doesn't agree with people being gay or women being equal, he joins at least 50% of the rest of the men on earth, and that's a conservative estimate. Until I hear him insult someone for being gay or for being a woman, I'll continue to think he's not as bad as he's being painted.
