There are healthy people getting cancer while fat people are getting cancers and diseases but because it is their own fault of what they have put in their mouth.

Okay some fat people have psychological problems and people shouldn't be as narrow minded when they see a fat person walking down the street.

But the supermarkets need to decrease the price in good quality products like fruit and veg!

Stop playing on the games consoles and get off your fat arse and do something!! Like a long walk at least. No excuse that "oh it's raining".

However people need to stop being picky. Obesity is a problem. But what is NOT a problem is people who are a bit overweight and curvylicious and are a size 14/16.

True. But being fat is more life threatening. You should have freedom of speech but yeah in terms of what other things you can joke about.. like Arista said that could cause a war and ****.

But also... if we can joke about fat people we should be able to joke about skinny people too? I think though it's more life threatening being fat. If you are skinny.. well it's usually easier to put on the weight than lose it!

Very true but certain brands of foodstuff have their own pricing policies, etc.

Mind you some fruit and veg is so soaked in pesticides and preservatives it might be healthier eating the crisps.

A tax on bad food. They've spoken about it in the past, but if they do that then poorer people will just starve!

Yeah however obesity is something that is bad for the sufferers health, it has a detrimental effect on their relatives health, and its can be fairly easily remedied in a lot of cases if the person is given sufficient incentive and motivation. Not to mention its a drain on health services resources currently and anticipated to be more so in the future.

In a few years time when you cant get a much needed operation to improve your quality of life because of all the lardies have spent the budget on having their second or third set of liposuction, will you see the humour in the situation of you defending them today?

Most fat people are fat due to what they are eating, the amount vs their lack of desire to burn up the amount of calories they consume. Most, not all, but generally. It can be avoided. They are abusing their bodies.

Black people have no choice in the colour of skin that they are born with. It cannot be avoided. they are not abusing their bodies.

Yes I understand that part of your recent posts.

However Mr Skinner was making a joke to get over the point that a lot of obese people simply need motivation and incentive to slim down, or stop eating junk food. A good way of motivating people into doing things for themselves or standing up for themselves is to ridicule them.

It's just stupid to say that fat people should "just stop eating" it's like saying to a heroin addict "just stop".

Addiction is not that simple, it's a disease. Educate yourselves.

All addiction is the same in the brain... food, sex, drugs, gambling..
It is so patronizing to say "well just stop". just because you can eat or gamble or have sex in moderation does not mean it's the same for a person with an addiction.

Open your mind and realize that if it was that simple of course they would do so. If it was that simple of course they would.

So you are implying that ALL FAT / OVERWEIGHT people are addicts?

But in a lot of cases its not food addiction, its laziness, lack of motivation, ignorance and simple greed.

They take up far too much room on plane seats and I object to having to pay for one measly kilo over my luggage allowance when some gannit weights two and three times my body weight.

Also: since I'm quite small, if an obese person sits in a seat in front of me at the cinema - I cannot see past their more than ample frame and I am the one inconvenienced..
