jjust so we get the thread back on topic, what are your thoughts on Aaron duping the housemates into nominating the Wolfpack. quite a smart move in getting them all up for nominations in one fell swoop eh!

er..last time I checked Arron was up for eviction

I didn't say he wasn't - and that wasn't what I asked you either.

Yes I do find that strange

But we are discussing particularly the manner in which Aaron managed to dupe the housemates in this particular series and in this particular instance - are we not?:conf:

Sure, but on a broader level game playing in general is relevant to the discussion and it's odd that Anton is vilified for it and Aaron is praised when it's him who's manipulating things

Agreed. Personally, I like them both, but this convo proved that Aaron is probably a much better gameplayer than Anton.

Hmm I see your point, same principle though it's just that Aaron is more subtle, doesn't mean he's being any less of a "snake". I don't have a problem with him doing it btw, I like Anton and I like game playing - to a certain extent - but I just think it's odd one is criticised and the other praised

Given that Anton betrayed one of his best mates in there (Harry) - a close friend of Aaron - Anton set himself up for a fall. Aaron brought that about by way of playing a pretty skilled move and one that Anton never even saw coming his way. I think such intelligence and the way he managed to pull it off was pretty ingenious. Let's be honest here, Anton's sneaky behaviour warranted it - you know the saying about fighting fire with fire don't you.

All Aaron has done is played Anton at his own game. And so far, Aaron's winning by a mile.

I like gameplayers including Anton, but I think whats done alot of people with Anton is in the first 2 weeks in paticular he would not shut his mouth about sex so it was bringing him and the series down a bit.

i think the thing anton did wrong though was swear on his mothers life while lying.if aaron did that on his sons life everyone would lose all respect for him too

Very good point bblover2.

I'm pretty sure this place would be in uproar if Aaron had done that. It's an excellent comparison.

Besides which: not only did Anton lie that he didn't know who had done the dirty - he lied that he was involved (yet he too put a bottle of dye in - red dye I think was his, blue dye was Jay), as well as swearing on his mother's life -.... all to someone in the house (harry) who regarded him as a close friend in the house.

Anton got what was coming to him, as did Jay and Aden. It's time they felt what it's like to be up for eviction - see how they like it for a change.

Watching Anton bang on about how fine he was with it -whilst not shutting up about it - shows how pissed he is.

What was so brilliant about this deceptive move was he duped arch rival JAY. oK, so that's not a mean feat, but given how much Jay despises Aaron it's shocking that Jay would fall for that. It was audacious, such temerity. Not only did it lead to Jay being up, it sealed the fate of all the wolfpack and just showed that Aaron is a lot smarter than he wants people to think. That mumbly stumbly nervy awkward character he projects is not real, but conceals a shrewd gameplayer.

I didn't like him in the beginning but I have to hand it to him, he knows exactly what he's doing.

Again, Aaron is a game-player we all knew this from the start - I back Mark. But he's doing it with a deft touch, finesse and a touch of class that it's enjoyable.

bblover2 11-10-2011 02:40 PM

as much as would like to see anton go on friday.i need to see him booed very loudly which he will be then see how he changes his gameplan i think aden will go could make good viewing next week

tweetypiebabe1 11-10-2011 02:42 PM

Finally his game playing is coming back!

For those who didn't like the fact that housemates could discuss nominations, tsk tsk tsk, you have no essence of good game playing lol!

BIB - Absolutely. Given that Jay thinks he's the Alpha male in there - Aaron once again, manages to wipe the floor with him, without lifting a finger.

Brilliance, sheer brilliance.

And the fact that the bait was Harry. The same Harry that's good friends with Aaron. The same Harry who was washing his clothes with Aaron when clothes/ Ketchup/ Food colouring gate happened. The same Harry who was t*ting about with Aaron mucking around on the Toy Task to defy Jay. The same Harry who had the backing off Aaron for the banana food budget. You can't make this stuff up. If the bait had been Tom then it would have been more credible. Even as someone who blatantly can't stand Jay I am disappointed at how poor he is at this. I almost want to be wrong about this, because thinking how clueless Jay is doesn't bare thinking about.

All the Wolfpack had to do was vote Aaron and Fay. Simple. No changing of minds, no bargain making, just stick to the 2 same people. I think Anton did, even Aden did. But leader Jay couldn't even do that. He couldn't even do the easiest thing. He couldn't even stick to the 2 people who he and Anton and Aden had agreed to nominate.

Aaron and Harry;

Jay’s first nomination was for Aaron. Jay said that he “saved his skin last week” and that Aaron leaving the house would be “no love lost.” Jay’s second nomination was for Harry because he says “I’ve been eating bananas, tomato sauce and frosted flakes for a week. I’m suffering.”

the thing is though, Jay doesn't really want to be his arch rival as far as I can see. It's all in Arron's head
