Alex is the typical BB winner, lets face it if you get on witb everyone, have a laugh and don't cause offence you are going to win!

Forget its an entertainment show, the public always vote for those that don't annoy them.

Wether or not they have done alot or not doesnt seem to matter, its the mad world of reality tv.

Look at your past Big Brother winners, Brian Dowling for example, when he won he actualyl deserved to!, He was hilarious and was without question a fantastic housemate!. But other than Brian, you have to question if any of the other winners have deserved it!. Their is no way Rachel Rice should have won, theirs no way Ulrika Johnson should have won!,but they did!

Its up to you lot to vote correctly!

I agree that no one should get special priviledge, but also no one should get special restrictions. It is her 'place' as much as it is anyone else's (who don't get pulled up by mods for it).

With all due respect.

True. However its the 'have a little compassion at least' part that makes it a bit different from random users saying give it a rest isnt it ;)

Alex is a decent sort of girl but apart from the tan task she really hasn't contributed and, imo, doesn't deserve to win. But she will more than likely win as the viewers tend to vote for silly HMs. Brian Belo for example.

Alex is playing a blinder of a game, she steers clear of any confrontation, is never nominated and it seems to go over the others heads, other than Tom's.That's why he sticking to Alex like glue.
Jay will not have noticed but Aaron will in one of his pensive moods he'll realize and work his devious way to get her nominated because he's not going to be able to get rid of her threat of winning BB if he doesn't.

The only way he can do this is by getting Jay on his side which will bring Anton into the frame and Harry will back Aaron. So if they all vote Tom and Alex they will be lowering the opposition.

I would say no, I do like her a lot and I would put her in my top 3 but she hasn't done a great deal.

She is funny with her stories and her best moments, other than sometimes in tasks, are with Harry and Aaron.
The problem is we haven't a clue as to her real popularity with the voting public, the bookies near always get the winner wrong, even if they are odds on favourites.

There has been no real test as to her with the viewers yet, so although she is odds on favourite,I would guess she is likely at best in 2nd or 3rd place.

I wouldn't though want to see an Alex and Aaron eviction this week though,I would expect Aaron still to ride through and win that but would rather that scenario of nominations didn't happen.
I don't really expect her to be up for eviction though, we will need to see what happens when it gets to the last 4 or 5 to see how strong her popularity is then.

I've not been a big fan of Alex in the past because I have a very low stupidity threshold. Having said that, I have warmed to Alex. I still think she's staggeringly naive and not particularly well-educated (like many of the others in there), but she does seem to be the real McCoy. I've not heard say anything about anyone that she's not been willing to say to their face. She didn't want to talk about nominations or be swayed from making her own decision, and respect for that. She joins in everything, she's game for anything (I would never have done the spray tan thing...) and she makes the best of things. She mixes with everybody and isn't intimidated by people who are cleverer than she is. I think she's a genuinely sweet kid with a good heart. What you see is definitely what you get with Alex, and although she isn't my favourite to win I wouldn't be at all disappointed if she did walk away with it.

Not really.

But, to be fair. I felt the exact same about Josie BB11, Sophie BB10 and Rachel BB9 and they all won. So quite obviously I don't share the same opinions of the general public

Yeah, she is kind of new to forums in general and didn't realise that asking for a little compassion was a strange thing to do. I don't think she got that compassion, around here, generally isnt people's strong point and that asking for it would single her out.

Ahh well, she isnt posting here anymore so it's water under the bridge I guess.

Jords 16-10-2011 09:23 PM

Definitely.

Shes not had any 'storylines' as to say, such as forming a rocky relationship or interlocking horns with another housemate, but I dont think BB is just about this.

Alex is funny, sweet and most of all genuine. She hasnt got a bad bone in her body and although shes dumb in some areas, shes also quite smart in others. She can put up some good banter and her friendship with Tom and the Alex/Aaron/Harry trio are both very endearing to watch. A great team player as well and doesnt get too caught up in ongoing drama.

A much deserving winner!

Not a chance.

Hadn't seen that photoshoot/ vid before.....TBH she makes the most of herself in it, doesn't she?? She comes across to me as the same girl in the house....a bit dipsy, but not daft. To me she IS just being herself, and though I preferred Maisy, I can completely understand why Alex is the favourite!!

Bumping this, as I had forgot it existed until it was (quite rudely in the way it came across) pointed out.
