I could predict that ending :/ was thinking that, for a series from the makers of 24, there hadn't been many explosions yet

Channel 4 announce that they'll be showing season 2 later this year. Would be great if they could do what Sky Atlantic are doing with Game of Thrones and show the new episode one day after the US, but I doubt it.

Season 2's down to start on the 30th September in the US.

Iceman 07-05-2012 12:49 AM

the teaser for S2 with the questions is good.

Mystic Mock 07-05-2012 12:51 AM

I liked the finale, I think that the show has had stronger episodes personally.

Shaun 10-05-2012 02:05 AM

The finale :worship:

Can't see how Carrie is going to get back though. Even though she cottoned onto Nazir's son being in the blast, and Brodie remembering his name, the whole electroshock ending left it a bit open.

I love the show though. Fantastic acting all around.

Don't think she'll be in the CIA in season 2, maybe some sort of Private Investigator or something like that.

RTE over here will be showing it the day after like last year so just watch on the RTE player. I'll link you sooner if C4 have a delay.

Can you watch RTE player in the UK?

Ending it on the "your in love with him" line. They better drop that plot, season 1 would have been near perfect if they didn't go down that route

Iceman 20-07-2012 04:07 PM

yeah and you can D/L it to your PS3, i'll PM you and tell you how.

Spoiler:

Quote:

Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon has offered some hints about the show's second season.

Gordon confirmed that the next run of episodes will focus heavily on the dynamic between former marine Brody (Damian Lewis) and unstable CIA operative Carrie (Clare Danes).

The pair's fledgling romance came to an abrupt end in the first season, following the revelation that Carrie had Brody under surveillance and suspected him - correctly - of working undercover for Al-Qaeda.

"We were left with a love story - a tragic love story - between Brody and Carrie that had quite a lot of room to grow," Howard told GQ in reference to the second season's plot.

Lewis has hinted that Brody will still be "vulnerable and unstable" in season two, despite his advancing political career.

Meanwhile, Danes suggested that the second season will find Carrie "a little less paranoid, a little less high-strung", following the course of electroconvulsive therapy she undertook in season one's finale.
NOOOOOOOOO love story

It's confirmed to be airing on Channel 4 sometime in October, so we'll probably only be 2 or 3 episodes behind the US. :amazed:

If you have a PS3 you can watch it next day using the ireland account. We're getting it the day after it shows in the US

Finally got round to watching this a few weeks back. Part of me didn't think it would live up to all of the hype surrounding it but it really did. Phenomenal performances from Claire Danes and Damien Lewis, in fact the whole cast did a fantastic job. Last episode of the season was a bit lackluster but I'm just glad there's a second season. Brilliant show.

Shaun 18-09-2012 06:16 PM

think it starts September 30 in the states

Mystic Mock 18-09-2012 06:21 PM

It had a fantastic first season, let's just hope the second season is the same.

Locke. 18-09-2012 07:28 PM

Drop the love story and the first season was near perfect. Hopefully they don't bother with the love crap again in season 2, and give Saul more to do.

I agree with this 100%.
