Yes, she did. During her convo with Nicola she admitted being in the wrong with what she did with Karissa. There could be any number of reasons she didn't go to Karissa, maybe missed out of the edit or simply trying to start a convo but K&K being very dismissive and not wanting to know. As evidenced in the episode.

But, IMO, if Karissa still wants to sit stewing over it all instead of discussing it in the open and getting it out the way like Nicola did then that's her own problem. Approaching Denise and letting her know (whilst sober) how much it upset her would have steered things.

Not to mention, IMO, Denise's crime isn't big enough to warrant a grovelling, begging apology. But an apology none the less, which she got.

But, that's what Karissa said. She said "I'll forgive you tomorrow, but right now I'm mad" or something so when Denise said she was sorry she left her be whilst reassuring herself "You'll forgive me tomorrow, it's fine" because she knew she'd wrecked the mood again.

But she see it had upset her and apologized and meant it.

Ive been drunk before and upset someone and apologized and meant it, so using alcohol as a reason not to 'mean' it is ridiculus.

The fact that you don't think Karissa can be reserved in her private life contrary to who she is in her public life is rather rather worrying.

This is going round in circles

If she meant it then why did she pretend to do it again?

She got Kasrissa outside to calm it, and that's where Frankie stepped in.

Like I said, she saw an opportunity to try and make something for herself.

Yes and she's still doing it.48 hours further on.
If we don't get rid of them tonight,we'll have to eat sleep and drink this episode until Friday night.

100% agree. Denise didn't say 'you will forgive me tomorrow' out of no where, so god knows where people are getting that idea...

Because it was Karissa asking for an apology which made Denise suddenly realise she'd upset or offended her or whatever so she apologised.

Yeah but like the twins said, Denise was starting to talk to them as if nothing had happened. Surely she could've slipped it in then if she was talking to them anyway? I think Denise has deduced in her mind that she didn't do anything wrong and has probably already come up with excuses, which she was kind of doing with Nicola anyway bordering on the "they don't get me" theme. And Denise had a sly dig at the end of the ep also, when the twins seemed ok with her.

I saw that as Denise trying to lighten the mood by making a joke out of it.
An ill judged move, but trying to get her to laugh about it.

Denise seems a lot of things with a lot of problems but she's not malicious. People make it sound like she purposely upset her, and then tried to do it again. It's a clash of boundaries and senses of humour.

But the twins weren't ok were they? We heard them talking before Denise went into the garden. They're not helping things by just responding to Denise's idle chit chat, if they are still upset they should tell her.

But, when talking with Nicola she was defending some of the things she said because of things like "I'm not like you" which Nicola took offence from, but Denise explained the context it was meant in.

They shouldn't have to ask her to apologize for the 2nd time. Denise should be mature enough to do it on her own.

She said "sorry" and followed it up with "You forgive me?". That's asking her does she have her forgiveness. Karissa then says she'll forgive her tomorrow, Denise then walks away reassuring herself with the "You'll forgive me tomorrow".

The twins bitch all the time anyway, it's what girls do. At least they were civil and didn't make a sarky comment like Denise.

And she was defending what she said about Nicola, but was still using the different words argument from the twins. And then tried to justify by saying how she does it with her friends and she assumed they were all friends so it was ok. She was just deflecting the blame as she normally does.

That's not what I'm saying.

I'm saying they should tell Denise how they feel. They don't like how Nicola and Denise have moved on and are still sat stewing about it. So, they should approach her about it.

First and foremost the whole pulling down the pants was a joke. The pants didn't even go below the morons arse cheeks.

The Americans have zero sense of humor or at least no concept of the British sense of humor. But you have to admit or you'd be a fool to ignore the fact that it was blown way out of proportion.

Just imagine one of the twins had done this to Denise and Denise acted like Karissa? Denise would be called an idiot and you know it.

Denise is a wild one and obviously thought it would be funny.

Ok it wasn't the reaction she thought she was going to get but she apologized and she jokingly went to do it again. It was a joke. Simple as.

There was no malicious intent towards it, regardless of what 'Team America' would say.

Seems to me the twins would have the sun shining out of their arses if the tables were turned and you know that's true.

That's a good point though, the twins are a million miles from the people Denise is used to so she made an ill judged joke which she admitted to.

But, I have to lol at your seemingly blase comment on the twins bitching in private yet because Denise makes a sarky comment to their face she's in the wrong again.

.....No.

Exact transcript:

Denise: "Your not crossed with me are you?"
Karissa: "I'm a little pissed off"
Denise: "Yeah, but just, you'll forgive me won't you?"
Karissa: "I'll forgive you tomorrow but now i'm very ****in pissed"
Denise: "Alright, but you'll forgive me tomorrow"

Basically - there is no sincere, real apology.

Marsh. 24-01-2012 11:30 PM

Good post Glenn, the Americans (not all of them but in general) take themselves much too seriously and don't have the laugh-at-yourself sense of humour. That's why the "I'll sue your ass" is such a generic American response because they can't deal with embarrassment or taking the mick out of themselves.

Denise bitches too, so what? If you put bitching aside the twins were civil but Denise made the sarky comment. Seems she'd rather find reasons to be angry at them to own up to what she did.

Basically, what I said. She ASKED a question and repeated Karissa's response. She said sorry on the sofa more than once and then asked if she had her forgiveness.

I agree with "so what?"
It was your that's what girls do comment that made me lol.

And they're all finding reasons to be angry at each other, that's the problem. A little misunderstanding has been blown out of proportion.

Yeah but not by the twins though, they were in the DR when a lot of it happened. It's silly of Denise to say she'd say sorry and not to do it, it might be only "having a laugh" to her, but it's not how most people have a laugh. Shows she doesn't have much self control, I thought she'd be clever enough to realise that wouldn't go down well with the enviroment she is in.

MrWong 24-01-2012 11:42 PM

Has anyone here seen adults pulling each others trousers down 'as a joke'... in any situation, ever? Or had it done to them?

It's just that people are talking as if it's normal but personally, i've never seen it happen or had it done to me.
