Well like Niamh already posted when one of the chat threads are closing there is usually a vote to decide the name for the new one tbf.

So it's understandable why the members that normally post in the manor would be a bit annoyed.

Maybe there should be a vote to see what this thread should be called and the thread Jayson made can be closed/merged.

This was the main reason we decided on making a new one

If Kate's was created first then it should be kept open.

Theres already an extra chat thread that was left open, we can't "just leave" every thread open when a member decides they want to start one.

Then we will merge this and jaysons thread and edit the title to whichever wins the poll

I personally think that this should remain open (for the maturer members, as suggested) and that Mars bar and the other one should be merged for the 'younger' members. We don't need three chat threads.

Me and Scott both hated the idea of having a thread that was a) made by someone who was never active in the Manor, b) had such an awful name, c) did not revolve around Suits (well not really but it's a great show), d) was (gonna have to be blunt here) going to be chatted in by members that we both don't like

I thought it would be best to make a new one so that we all got what we wanted, thus creating less friction on the site

But I do think that mods should be the starter of all new chat threads, just to create less dramas over who starts what, the name can still be decided by those that use it. Just my opinion there.

I don't chat in either anymore, the days of the good chats in threads are gone. But I still like to add my two cents as I know how messy it can get :idc:
