The judges really have no say though, it's the producers who use every single opportunity to cause controversy and maximum press exposure. They may as well have filmed the runner whispering the order in Louis' ear.... Oh wait, they did! :mad:

This show has only produced three credible artists IMO since 2006: Leona, Alexandra and Rebecca. It's main focus is never on the actual talent. :idc:

Meh, par for the course with the X Factor. I'm just surprised it was in week 1 - I guess they figured Rylan would be safe for the first few weeks. To be entirely fair to the competition - they took it to deadlock and the person with the least votes went home in the very first week. Can't get fairer than that. I thought Gary Barlow was very rude to Rylan to the point of being out of order - the guy CAN sing, I think Mr Barlow is possibly a bit homophobic, or is at least very uncomfortable with Rylan's persona on the stage. It's a shame for Carolynne that she thought she had been saved and then it went to deadlock, but I thought her song choice was ridiculous last night and even though she did very well in the sing off, she's still nowhere near among the best singers on the show.

Carolyn was an average , over the hill , wanabee Reba mcIntyre..The public did not like nor vote for her. She would have gone next week anyway. She was boring and charisma free.
Considering Gary gave that talentless, manho twonk Cocozza a standing ovation every week, I find his reaction a tad hypocritical.
Cocozza makes Rylan look like Pavarotti.
What is truly annoying and what people should be protesting about are the much better singers left at bootcamp and JH's. The final line up is dismal. Lucy hello, Rylan with a guitar.

If Dermot has an issue with Louis then that's more reason to like him. Louis once again showed why he needs to go for the X Factor to become more credible. I'd love to know what advice Louis gives MK1 during the week. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in those meetings.

Louis was playing the game and Dermot knew it. Its all hype and he can save whom he chooses not who Gary says. How farcical was Gary's walkout when he spent last year giving a talent free Cocozzi standing ovations.The X factor is an entertainment show more than a legit signing contest, when will people get that. How boring would the whole motley crew of finalists be without the light relief of Rylan.:bored:

There were better singers left at bootcamp and judges house than are in the final. If it was an actual singing contest those singers would be in the final.
Lucy is no better than Rylan in fact Imo she is the novelty act.She cant sing and her songs are shyte. Why was she allowed sing her own song the other night, while the rest had to sing covers. Because she cant cut it, that's why.

I agree with your 2nd paragraph and it sums up why the whole show is a joke. There have always been better singers left at bootcamp. I dont find Rylan to be light relief I find him to be a joke. Same with Jonny Robinson, Jedward, Wagner in fact all the joke acts that polluted the show for so long. I dont think watching bad singers is entertaining no matter how many dancers, flashing lights, smoke machine etc there are on stage. You can basically train a chimp to do what Rylan does I dont know how anyone can find it entertaining and there are better singers than him at your local pubs next karaoke night. He brings down the integrity of the show

You're right that XF is not a talent contest and thats what p*sses me off. How the hell have they got away with this sh*te for NINE years. Either the producers are very clever or the public who love it are incredibly dumb.
