Oxford grooming case council boss to stay

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-22535440

Quote:

The chief executive of Oxfordshire County Council has insisted she will not resign after the abuse of young girls in the Oxford area.

But Joanna Simons admitted that the council and others "take enormous responsibility for what's happened".

The crimes spanned eight years and social services and the police have apologised for not acting sooner.

Ms Simons, who has been the council's chief executive since 2005, said she had asked herself some "very hard questions" about her position.

She said: "There is going to be an independent serious case review which will look at the actions of all the agencies concerned.

"My gut feeling is that I'm not going to resign".
She's not going to lose £250k+ in pay and perks is she .....

Paedophile groups like this one that prey on very young girls from deprived backgrounds and "groom" them into a world of sexual exploitation and depravity are found from all areas of society and from all religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Sexual abuse like this is not confined to one particular stereotype.

It cannot however be overlooked that there is a disproportionate amount of muslim offenders ....It is far from an equal playing field.

InOne 15-05-2013 11:38 AM

Well for the last 20 years or so it has been mostly men of Pakistani decent that have had this MO. It's hard to tell if it's Religion or Culture but I'd imagine a mix of both.

hotleggs 15-05-2013 04:27 PM

These bastarxds should burn in hell, but those girls, were seriously let down, by the adults around them. Starting from their parents, therapists, to the police, teachers, to innocent bystandards, I can go on. This seems like a well known thing, which the adults just ignored. Going on for that long, with so many reported. How can this happen?
