Guess we will continue to ignore a healthy Tyson DESTROYING all before him while Bolt continues to avoid him
Can't wait for the WC'S justice will be served and the king takes his thrown |
British World Trials this weekend (I am lucky enough to be attending Fridays heats!)
At the moment these are the athletes who will most likely get chosen for the world champs: * = providing the athlete gets the A standard before selection Men: 100m: James Dasaolu, Joel Fearon, Dwain Chambers* (would've put Gemili here but he doesn't have the A standard and isn't attending trials, although he could get 3rd spot if he gets the A standard at U23 European Championships and Chambers fails to get the A standard) 200m: James Ellington, Adam Gemili, Richard Kilty (if Christian Malcolm wins trials with an A standard time, he'll probably get the slot instead of Richard Kilty) 400m: Nigel Levine, Michael Bingham, Richard Strachan 800m: Michael Rimmer, Andrew Osagie* 1500m: None 5000m: Mo Farah 10000m: Mo Farah, Chris Thompson* 3000Msc: None 110mH: William Sharman*, Lawrence Clarke* 400mH: Dai Greene, Rhys Williams HJ: Robbie Grabarz, Tom Parsons* PV: Steve Lewis LJ: Chris Tomlinson, Greg Rutherford (if he is fit enough to compete after his recent injury) TJ: Nathan Douglas (can't see Phillips Idowu making the squad due to recent performances.) What about Katarina Johnson-Thompson? she'll be competiting in the Heptathlon won't she? some great names there though, Perri Shakes Drayton has been amazing this year probably the stand out name out of the younger athletes for me, Dai Greene has been on a massive downward spiral though ever since the Olympics

Perri
I love the whole 400m relay girls line-up tbf. Christine and Perri are  |
Do the BBC still have the same theme tune
This used to be my favourite sporting theme tune |
Quote:
Am I the only one excited to see Christine Ohurougu run against her sister in the 400m? I'm sure Victoria Ohurougu will be a star of the future  I really hope Perri runs in the 400m too, or at least gets selected for it and she agrees. |
Surprise surprise.... Jessica Ennis-Hill has withdrawn from the trials this weekend. She has yet to compete in any events this year. I don't know how she thinks she's going to do well at Moscow, and I'm starting to doubt she'll even be picked at all.
Add this to the news that Phillips Idowu is taking a break from athletics and it's not looking good for Team GB. |
Idowu's performances are always unpredictable anyway, can't say i'm really bothered about that and Jess tweeted that she isn't given up yet but Moscow is only a month away now and there isn't much hope of her competing anywhere near her best with less then a Month's training
|
James Dasaolu ran 9.91 today at the trials, but he didn't run in the final, however I still think he'll get picked for Moscow. Dwain Chambers won the trials with 10.04 and Harry Aikeenes-Aryteey finished 2nd with 10.08. They'll both most likely be going to Moscow too.

Can't wait, not sure what a realistic target for us is really, don't really think we should be to optimistic and expect a big medal haul since our usual best chances like Jess won't be at her best and Mo is obviously focusing more on Marathon running now, Grabarz has the potential but he is so inconsistent, Christine is in pretty good form as well but i dont expect her to win the 400m with the strength nowadays in that event

7.30 til 10.00 tonight, the first day of the Anniversary Games
|
Looking forward to the world champs too but I agree not expecting many medals really. Be happy with one gold really

WTF was that from Bolt??? Now you can see why he has been avoiding Tyson would have been eating Tyson's ass from 20 metres onwards running like that
Usain Bolt the man with more * beside his name then Andy Murray |

LOVE IT!!!! Like Bolt fans like Novo have come crawling out of hiding since Tyson's injustice they were no where to be seen when he was ripping tracks up left right and centre
Bolt has NEVER beaten a healthy Gay sadly he had his chance this year and avoided him now I am afraid he will have * beside his name |

BBC commentary team "That was a blistering performance from Bolt" U WOT MATE.JPG
To put Bolt's BLISTERING performance into context Tyson on one leg was running faster times last year I'm sorry Bolt may get away with his rubbish when less knowledgeable sports fans are around but when i'm around the Bolt's , Young's of this world will be called out Bolt your a great athlete however you will never be in Michael Johnson's league and sadly for your fans will never be in Tyson's either as you failed to take up the challenge and spiked his tests to save embarrassment at the WCS |
He'll never be in Tyson's league as for as illegal substances are concerned i suppose, Tyson is the World Record holder in that department
|
Legend Killer what more does Bolt have to do for you to show him a little bit of respect?
He's won the Gold medal in the last two Olympics in both 100m and 200m. He's won the Gold medal in the World Championships in 100m, and won the past two gold medals in the 200m Oh yeah he's also the World record holder at both 100m and 200m, just to put that in perspective for you, it means he's the fastest human being that's ever lived. So what's your negativity? are you jealous? or are you just too proud to admit when your wrong? it takes a real man to do that I'd put Bolt in the top five greatest sportsman of all time |

The simple answer is he has to beat a Healthy Tyson Gay. And with Tyson being healthy for the first time in 4 years Usain had his chance to put me and other "haters" in our place but sadly he refused the challenge and AVOIDED EVERY event Tyson competed at All the titles you won are great achievements no doubt and among the less knowledgeable poster ala Brother Leon they will prove Usain was the GOAT of his era (Don't think about comparing him to MJ BRB 100 200 AND 400 with very little benefit of sporting advancements) however among sporting historians like myself we will understand that A. He NEVER beat a Fit Tyson in any of the major events B. He never beat a fit Tyson Period and spent a whole year avoiding him once he became fit C. Last time he met a fit Tyson at a major event he was eating Tyson's ass in both the 100 and 200 No lie I never really liked Usain before this year. However it grew to HATE when he shamelessly avoided Tyson who was fit for the first time in 4 YEARS |
Wannashag what more does The Legend Killer have to do for you to show him a little bit of respect???
He's p4p the number 1 poster on TIBB He's got a record amount of 50 comment thread's even though he does not post anything BB related Oh yeah he's NEVER avoided a challenger unlike Bolt. He has taken on the likes of Brother Leon , MTVN , Marc , Locke , Novo and Iceman to name a few (many at the same time I might add) and has conquered each and every one of them.Just to put that in perspective for you, it means I am UNDEFEATED in sporting debates with a win loss percentage of 100% So what's your negativity? are you jealous? or are you just too proud to admit when your wrong? it takes a real man to do that . |
