..yeah, I'm on a roll of depressing stuff lol..what about Sophie's Choice...that's another one that left me feeling flat...

Quite a few movies I have found depressing but I watched one last week with a friend that I hadn't seen before.
It was from the 1980s and starred Jeremy Irons as twin Doctors. It was called 'Dead Ringers'.
I found it really depressing and especially the ending to it. Couldn't leave it though.

Is Revolutionary Road the one where Kate Winslet performs her own home abortion?

Yep.

I found Winters Bone quite grim, but I suppose that's what they were going for. I enjoyed it and all, well obviously, Jennifer Lawrence is in it..

in addition to Tyrannosaur:

- We Need to Talk About Kevin. Very visceral, very harsh twist at the end.
- Moon. Just a bit of a psychological mindfuck to be honest.

Leaving Las Vegas is utterly depressing.

The Impossible is fairly depressing and uplifting both at the same time. God I loved that film

Cast Away isn't a depressing film though

Eden Lake is depressing but its a fantastic horror film.

I think that film shocked me more than anything. Found it more disturbing than most horrors and the ending was utterly depressing. Still, probably the best British horror film I've seen. Kelly Reilly:lovedup:

So do I. I was so anxious throughout the whole thing and the ending really was awful. Great little horror film that really did keep me hooked.
