Can't say I'm even surprised :joker:

In the world of Brother Leon where bringing a 37 year old out of retirement is better then giving a bright prospect a chance

NOT A SINGLE **** GIVEN

The two most iconic sports people I can think of, of all time, are Ali and Pele.

Pele and Maradona would probably compete for best ever footballer.

For golf it is between Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

Legend killer 20-05-2013 08:04 PM

Ali iconic yes but her did not dominate prime fighter after prime fighter with him being well past his prime himself in his 5th weight division all while going undefeated

Agree with Pele though in terms of being iconic

Every member of this team deserve to be in this thread bar the cheats. THE BIGGEST UNDERDOG STORY EVER IN SPORT can't wait to see us go to Eden gardens and batter the MI'S with no spinners on a spin friendly track

How did this go for you :joker::joker:

Most of the Royals are probably in the bookies pockets, just lucky that only three were caught

Legend killer 25-05-2013 06:29 PM

The fact we should have beat a team that spent MILLIONS more then us is an unreal achievement if Hodge had caught that in the 19th we would have

MTVN 25-05-2013 06:34 PM

Only reason you even came close was cos Mumbai imploded and nearly bottled it when they had been cruising to victory, the Royals shouldn't have got anywhere near that 160 odd total they did get as well if Malinga hadn't also self destructed in his last over

Legend killer 25-05-2013 06:58 PM

You do realise we gave Mumbai 20 runs from misfields right?? Not even mentioning the extras from wides etc which more then cancels Malinga's over out (which was due to pressure from yagnik and Hodge) while are mistakes were all our own fault

MUST make you mad watching a team of flat track bullies like RCB

No can't say I count how many runs each team gives away in every innings by each individual fielding error, but even if that's true I don't really see how the fact you gave away a lot of silly runs mean prove you deserved to go through to the final lol. Lots of little things can be pinpointed but let's be fair, Mumbai are the better team in all honesty

And RCB were easily the most entertaining team this season, just didn't have quite strong enough a bowling attack and bottled it at some key moments. Still had this seasons best two batsmen though

It doesn't but you were being very bitter and tried to point to Malinga's over at the end as the only reason we got such a score I was just pointing out without our silly fielding mistakes (20 runs worth) they would not have achieved such a score either

And LOOOOOL at Kohli being better then Watson and Hussey.Sure Kohli and Gayle scored plenty of runs on the lovely flat track of Bangalore but when it mattered on less batter friendly pitches Kohli in particular was no where too be seen

FLAT TRACK BULLIES NO MORE NO LESS

MTVN 25-05-2013 07:43 PM

Haha I suppose you weren't watching our last game then, reduced to 8 overs, up against the best team in the League Chennai, needing a win to have any chance of qualifying, and Kholi comes out and plays a masterclass innings

Sign of a true champion right there, can see the guy captaining India in a couple of years

MICHAELJORDANLAUGHING.GIF I think it is quite apparent you did not watching the game good sir

1. It was 8 OVERS LOOOL. He had no choice but too come out swinging thankfully for him it came off but if it were the full 20 overs would he have been mentally tough enough to plan his innings when he did have a choice of how quick he had to play??? Judging by your finishing position I think not

2. LOOOOL Chennai could not even be bothered to move Dhoni up the order to chase a HUGE score that's how bothered they were about the win

FLAT TRACK BULLIES NO MORE NO LESS

MTVN 25-05-2013 08:06 PM

Obviously it meant he had to bat quickly, that doesnt mean it's easy to adapt to such a drastically shortened game. You could say its harder, when you've been playing 20 overs the last month you know how to time your innings, what a good target and run rate is etc All that goes out the window when the game is then more than halved. Plus Kohli isn't even an opener, yet he put himself up the order and it's pretty impressive to be the dominant run scorer in a partnership with Chris Gayle

Legend killer 25-05-2013 08:20 PM

I would personally say it's easier. As it such a short innings you don't have decsions to make such as should I see off this bowler and should I play a few balls to get my eye in before I start swinging. You know you have to attack every ball so there is no uncertainty in your shot/decision making. Having AB coming in after you also helps release any pressure on you too boot

Legend killer 31-07-2013 06:13 PM

Would like to add Missy Franklin to the list a hybrid of lochte and Phelps with all there strengths and none of there weakness
