Their promotion alone has been seen by millions more people with some simple ads on a prime time channel.

Hopefully not too much. It seems like a show which would get around 3m.

Forgot about the Olympics, that said I don't think BB12's finale didn't that much better, they don't seem to rate well in general these days.

BB12 final bounced up more than BB13. BB12 final got 2.1m overnights, sadly BB13 got 1.7m or something.

Then perhaps I wasn't as over-predicting the finale as I thought. What was the overnight average for BB12 again? 1.4mish?

Overnight was 1.4m or 1.5m, it only went up 100k-200k in the officials. But when you compare that to CBB11, it time shifted over 500k in officials.

I think we will see big time shift boosts for BB14.

if people were really fans, they must know that it's back. It's been on every summer for 13 years, you would think that they aren't that slow to understand that. Doesn't take a lot to look at a TV magazine. On Ch5 it's been promoted very, very well. It's just a shame Ch5 is not the most watched channel. Twitter is buzzing at the moment surrounding it. Also Facebook. But a I said some people are very slow and quite thick. Some people asking on FB, "when does this start" just underneath a "2 days to go" video. I mean, seriously.

To be fair I have mates on facebook who actually ask me when BB's back on.

If they aren't on the forum and theres virtually no ad campaign how are they expected to know its back?

Fair enough if they don't have the BB page liked, but for those who do, there shouldn't be an excuse. They upload the how many days there is to go ad, but even underneath those videos, people still ask when it's coming back!

Also Dan, if you can, can you FB chat me when the ratings come in? I will be at work and can only really check my FB because it's faster to load than here or DS.

Yeah that's actually ridiculous.

But the BB facebook page only has about 250k likes yeah so anyone outside that would literally be relying on word of mouth to know when the series is back.

Channel 5 have done an amazing job of the house but their promotion has been shocking.

Like I said on DS BB is back in 52 hours and not 1 advert has been advertised outside Channel 5.

This is why the summer CBB do poor aswell to be fair so you would think they would advertise the civilian one to get ratings for both.
